Jason Brown

Well I missed Jason’s skate but it appears he was clean. Karen Preston is with him.

It was lovely (well, what little bit I saw through my fingers. Even a senior B I get nervous:biggrin: )

And he and Karen had quite the laugh about something. He’s clearly at home with all of Team TCC:)

Haha. I didn't even trust my fingers. Had to close the laptop and only just now checked. Congrats, Jason!!!

He did skip the split jump but the skate was beautiful. He seemed so in control and so comfortable out there - no hesitation at all. The 3 Axel was spot on with the music and his choreo seems to be getting better with each skate. He's settled into all of it now. Riverdance was a once-in-a-lifetime program but I think Rohene really excelled with this one.

That combo has been stellar, but I thought it was particularly good here. Maybe taking the split jump out was strategic. I agree that Rohene's choreo for Jason this season is masterful and Jason's scores prove it. He's getting consistent with that program now. And it's perfect for him.

I noticed that Lilian Binzari (another TCC rink mate) competed in the Junior Men event. His ISU bio also lists Karen Preston as one of his coaches so it made sense to me that she should be the TCC coach to travel / be in the KnC with them.

Of course he is! Actually, I have to be out for a while in the morning, so maybe I'll be able to see him skate after all.

So far, Jason's SP score from today is higher than the first three men in the GPF. Had to get that in before Nathan skates. :)

It definitely shows that he is beginning to take solid confidence. And also that they are continuously adjusting the choreography to improve it, as he had said in Grenoble. Fingers and everything crossed for the continued positive vibe for the FS :agree:

Wonderful to wake up this morning and see that Jason had had a great skate.

Congrats Jason on winning Golden Spin!
Thought Kolyada would take it but he had a fall & pops.

The only thing I noticed was the 3Loop with the exit wasnt as smooth as in France.
And maybe a slight change in chereo where Jason stopped, made some gestures.

Congratulations to Jason for 2 beautiful skates and the Gold Medal. He now has a nice amount of time to focus on Nationals and show the US skating community how it is done!! I am so happy for him and his team and hope this gives him the confidence to keep pushing forward and continue the improvements on the LP. The short is perfect!!
