Jason Brown

I am not a fan of TSL. I think early on it was a good source, their hearts (!!!) were in the right place and we got good information. Now I think they've gone the way of a lot of media journalism in trying to increase their readers/viewers with misleading tactics and false assertions. Did the news come from Jason? Brian and Tracy? If not - eh! Take it with a grain of salt. Can hardly wait to see SL and the changes. And I agree - the next 5 months are going to be nail-biting!!!!

Nobody knows what’s going on with Jason or any of the athletes at this point. If they show up for champs camp they are there to show their programs to the judges, see friend, and learn what is needed for the upcoming season. I hope they are all having fun.

jason’s schindler’s list is a different cut but honestly it’s even better than before. the beginning and the end are the same it’s just the middle that’s different

Just my opinion, no inside knowledge, but I doubt it. He really doesn’t seem to have it in for Jason-in fact, he’s actually been super complimentary about him on many occasions in the past few years. I just think he’s an equal opportunity gossip who likes stirring the pot and getting a reaction. Watching this brief segment, it was pretty clear that he was trying to figure out how to insert that comment into the conversation.
 
As if in answer to our prayers, Jason just posted on insta stories that he'll be giving us a behind the scenes look at Champs Camp "today" (it is late night where I am).

Jasonites, I expect full analysis when I wake up.
 
Completely irrelevant question off topic to Champs Camp discussion, but I was thinking in the shower about Skate Canada - so Tracy usually commentates for TSN for SCI right. And obviously she is Jason’s main coach. What happens when there’s a conflict between coaching and commentating? Has this happened in the past?
On one hand it would be so interesting to hear her commentate on Jason however I really do not want to see anyone other than Tracy (even Brian tbh) at the boards with Jason, especially as the GPs are so important. I don’t know what other skaters she may have been main coach for where this could have happened.

I recall an event (probably Skate Canada) where Jason was skating and Tracy was commentating. There was an informal video on social media of Jason and some other TCC skaters shouting and waving to Tracy high above them in the commentating booth.

First story, Jason wakes up and says good morning. 2nd: He's walking from the hotel to the rink. He likes that it is walking distance. He speaks in that one. Then temperature check. His is normal. The next frame is of the tech specialist who checked everyone's skates and will be accompanying the team to Beijing. Then a few seconds glimpse of the warmup room.

Then a shot of Jason and Scott Hamilton....masked. Then the photo that Scott took of Jason and Nathan at the rink where what is happening is that they are getting judges feedback. Next is a shot of a TV image from the Paralympics. Jason is clearly watching. And then photo signing. The photo looks like a shot from Sinnerman. The next frame is labeled Competition simulation. Jason is behind the boards waiting to go on.

Then a shot of a sign saying Filming in Progress We will come and get you. Thanks! And we see Jason reflected in the glass door taking the photo. Next is Jason apparently waiting his turn for new headshots. This is followed by a glimpse into a room full of skaters at a Beijing Olympic presentation. Then Behind the Scene Video Shoots. Jason might actually be in the shot. Not sure. In the next frame he's wearing a blue plaid shirt and behind Bradie in the first shot is someone in a blue short sleeved shirt. Maybe it's Jason? It's fuzzy. Then a photo with Bradie, Karen and Jason. It's titled Practice Party of 3. Then a photo of physical therapy as he's getting something called dry needling. Then a shot of two legs in high boots clearly filled with ice. It's titles hyperice recovery mode. So far that is everything he posted. It's a glimpse. Not any major information. But it's fun to peek in.

It was Jason and Zhenya waving to Tracy. I think that Brian was with Jason at the boards for that competition. That is probably what will happen at SCI this year. Jason trains with both coaches. Tracy generally comes with him to Nationals.
 
The photos are adorable: I like the flashing signs (at first I thought it was 1-2-3, but my eyes deceive me ;) ) with Karen and Camden as well.

But I need to know why Danny and Jason are holding the "Danger: moving parts" sign in the group photo:LOL:

I do think TSL has been much nicer about Jason recently. Jonathan always was. I think with Dave it’s more of a jealousy. He wishes he could skate like Jason. I appreciate that. He has made remarks about his costumes before too. As Dave now knows, the costume part of a program is important, but not everyone is always on the same page. I personally feel Jason will be skating at the Olympics in all his USA attire!
