Jason Brown

Nice idea but based on the Covid situation and lack of masking there (I think the governor has actually forbidden mask mandates) I’d be out of Nashville ASAP. If he needs to stay in the US, there are a ton of rinks in the Chicago area where his family is (and where Rohene coaches) so that’s probably a better bet. I’m sure we’ll hear something soon (just as I’m sure we’re all double crossing our fingers that Tracy is okay and Jason remains Covid-free). 😊
I hope he went to Chicago. Stay with parents and train a couple days with Ro.

The Olympic fluff pieces are starting:

Jason names all 50 states in 20 seconds:biggrin:

Did I say Olympic fluff pieces? Yes. Am I still happy and relieved? Yes. :)

When they retire, I really want Yuzu or Nathan to rehearse and film themselves doing Sinnerman so that people might finally understand how difficult what Jason does is. I'm so tired of people who don't skate (or dance or do anything athletic at all) just throwing Jason's skills out as though they are ordinary and every single skater who can stand up can do what he does.

(steps off her soapbox...

I agree on all points. There is no good reason to stay in Nashville. I doubt that even Tracy will remain in Nashville. She can quarantine elsewhere and be safer. Staying with his family and working with Ro makes a lot of sense. They have to fix that last combo spin that he keeps getting a level 3 on. Once Tracy is all clear, they can go back to work in Canada and clean up SL. It is much better, but he needs to work on the 3A and maybe relocated the 4S. He was doing better with it after the first jump. He was more warmed up and was standing up on it.

That was funny. Jason's favorite Japanese word is Garbage Truck Man! I am still laughing! I so needed that laugh!

That fluff piece was fun! I love that his favorite word in Japanese is for garbage truck man .. just because it’s fun to say. 😂

And that recitation of all the states was impressive.

Keep the fluff coming!

BTW I just bought my ticket for SOI in Allentown and the Meet and Greet. I'm going by myself and staying overnight with a friend 50 minutes away. But if anyone else is going to be there, I'd love to say HI! I am so looking forward to it. It will be the beginning of a much needed 10 day break in NY!
I was thinking of Allentown too. Not sure about traveling now. I would be alone too, so I need to see how far away it is. I’m glad it looks like Jason is happy.

I'm coming from Virginia. I'm banking on things calming down by April 28th. I considered Hershey, but then I would need a hotel. Hotel prices are cheaper in Allentown than Hershey. I went with a friend several years ago when Jason skated the show in Allentown. It was fun! We didn't get Meet and Greet tickets, because they were already sold out, so I don't know what that's like. It will mean staying latish. The show was really good and they all looked like they were having a great time! Since I need to be in NY the following week, it made it an easier decision. It's a vacation for me. I got a first row seat toward the corner. That should be a nice spot to see everything. I chose against floor seats. You're right on the ice and it's kind of cold. But you are definitely up close and personal. There are plenty of seats left, so you don't have to decide soon. I wanted to celebrate Jason making the team. Who knows, it could be the last time I see him skate live. I hope not, but you never know. I think the cast will be really great this year. It's 10 minutes from I-78 down town. Easy to get to if you are anywhere along that corridor. It's a 5 hour trip for me, but I'm used to it.

Allentown is definitely cheaper than Hershey; there is no chocolate manufactured in the Lehigh Valley:laugh:

I think Jason fans might have the same idea. Now that USFS has done the right thing and I have exhaled, I think I'll drive down to the PPL arena on Thursday to buy my SOI ticket (box office is only open on Tues and Thurs afternoons). Four mile drive and no Ticketmaster fees. :)

That's a brilliant idea. I probably could have gotten my friend to do that, but it never occurred to me. Hope to see you there!

Jason’s insta story shows him happily practicing at TCC. At first I got all excited but then I realized it’s a clip Jordan Cowan took in November. Has anyone heard anything more current about how Jason’s doing/ where he is, and how Tracy is?

I'm v jealous of you all seeing him at Stars on Ice!!! I was weighing up going to Worlds as France is closest to me and may be one of the last times he may skate competitively... only for USFS not to name him to the bloody team! :bang: Now I know as 1st alternate for a post-olympics worlds there's a strong likelihood he could still be going, but I cannot afford to drop £££ on tickets, hotel and flights for a maybe!

That is too bad. It's probably a 50/50 chance that he'll skate World's. There are so many variables.
