On Jason's Instagram Stories it shows him sitting next to Mariah. And he posted someone else's instagram that says that they are on a flight with a handful of Figure Skating Olympians. For whatever reason, this group doesn't seem to be on a charter flight with the other athletes. It may just be them. If so, why? Quarantine regulations? It might be a charter flight, but it's perhaps not a Team USA charter? The poster is a journalist. And someone posted a photo with Tracy on an Instagram about her dog? This might be a journalists' charter? Anyway, they are on their way!

Thanks for the updates. It is indeed a charter flight for journalists. The explanation might be interesting! But it's certainly a different and interesting experience.

Definitely a charter, full of journalists. Jason usually packs one suitcase full of snacks. Then all of the Ralph Lauren gear (those coats are big!) and skates and costumes and everything else. That trip is going to be a TRIP! No PG rated films and plenty of drink service. I wonder if they'll return on Team USA plane or come back with the reporters. But why did this happen. It's another weird Jason Brown travel story.

We don't know who took the photo. Maybe he's got Tracy's luggage there also, but most likely, it's mostly or all his. The big one with USA on it is probably skates and costumes. The small dark blue one is his carryon. The others got checked. Jason is like a turtle. He carries his home on his back. Extra charges for luggage are not important. I would actually love being on that plane to see how things are going!Hahaha - no WONDER he had to go back to Canada!

Yes. I bet the big new blue looking one has his RL clothes, shoes, and boots. Coats are probably in the fat duffle. Skates in small grey suitcase. That’s weird they are on a plane with the journalists.It probably takes a couple of suitcases just to pack all those Polo Team USA outfits!!

Agree. I wish they'd been on the 1st Team USA charter, so they could have walked the red carpet and gotten the really big send-off. Jason would have loved that! But looks like he and his teammates made a great celebration out of it, anyway. They all look so happy and excited.

I did note that Kaitlyn and Jean Luc were still in Montreal and leaving from there. So we can probably assume that the skaters doing the Team Event went on the first plane and the others are flying in later. Given that it was only 6 skaters and maybe 4 coaches, I don't know why that happened. Or why Kaitlyn and Jean Luc didn't leave from LA. Mariah's coach, Adam, posted from a standard economy seat on the same plane as Mariah. He made a comment that he wouldn't be getting champagne in row 33. I think the skaters were in the 1st class cabin. Adam had been posting with Ashley Wagner this week, who is doing commentary. She seems to be going to Beijing, so she might be on that plane also. She was definitely in California. It seemed to be second tier and regional journalists. But I don't really know why they would single out 6 skaters.
