Jeff Buttle: This Season

Jeff Buttle

No, Jeff does not look like Howdy Doody. Howdy was an ugly red haired puppet that had three large freckles on each cheek. Jeff has blond/brown hair, pretty eyes, big smile and boyishly handsome. Sure jeff is trim but muscular. Long lean muscles. Now for poor Kevin, he does look Doodyish. Hopefully he will out grow that look. :)

He likely will..........he's just at that awkward teenage stage IMO

Kevin, sweet Kevin

Yupp - that's him! He grew at least a foot, it seems, about a year ago. I didn't recognize him myself last year in Halifax. (He still looks like Howdy Doody thought)

His limbs have grown a lot in less than a year, now he looks as if he lost control of them. Regarding Howdy Doody, he reminds me more of a cabbage patch doll. Whatever he is, he is still cute...

Sorry that I am degrading this tread into "drooling over little Kevin boy" thread

Ugly? He's as cute today as he was in 1947. (Flub-a-dub, now he was ugly).

If you lived in Detroit you could go down to the Detroit Art Institute and check out the original Howdy. (There is also one at the Smithsonian, but that's not the original.) There was a big court battle in 2000 between the Detroit museum and the heirs of puppeteer Rufus Rose, and the museum won.

To show how up-to-date Howdy Doody is, he (or rather Chief Thunderthud) was the originator of the hip phrase "Kowabunga, dude!" (only he didn't say "dude," just Kowabunga.)

BTW, if you do a Google image search on Howdy Doody, several pictures of President Bush come up.
