Are all the girls with numbers by their names competing in it? So does that mean Anna Shcherbakova is? If so YAY that means we get to see her quad lutz in just under 4 weeks yeet

Oh never mind I just saw S means substitute entry so it must be the two Annas - Shcherbakova and Tarusina - who are going!!! Yayyy
But I wonder how that works since it seems they haven’t done test skates in Russia yet ??

Gubanova is among subs. Seems like she'll be in Konstantinova last year state this season. Second first JGP try for Anna Tarusina.

They're basically placeholders until test skates and throughout the JGP season. That's why team USA and Russia always include a lot of subs so they can switch them if need be and usually there is a lot of shuffling depending on the skaters form, potential to reach GPF, etc.

The pool of selection for RUS is impressive. The downside is basically whoever does not win her event will not get a second one :(

Few words about Russian ladies, both never competed internationally.

Anna TARUSINA (born 24 Jan 2003) - she was assigned to 1st JGP Event at 2016, had serious injury when moved to ice rink to skate SP, past season at most competitions had score 190+, was 1st at Nationals Elder Age where won Sinitsina, Kanysheva, Kostyuk, Shcherbakova.

Anna SHCHERBAKOVA (born 28 Mar 2004) - at summer 2017 had injury (broken leg), after injury forst competed 13-14 Jan 2018 and past season did not fully restore. Before injury had very good combos (3Lz+3T+3T - no problem), at practice landed 4T(fully rotated!)+3T+3Lo, won Trusova several times at season 2016/17. First at Final of Russian Cup at Feb 2018 (won Trusova), where she landed 3Lz+3Lo in FS. Nice skating.

I know Shcherbakova has tons of fans, but I'm excited to see Tarusina's debut at last! She really impressed me in past competitions and I hope she does great!

I hope Pooja Kaylan does great in her debut as well!

Early predictions say Shcherbakova and Tarusina look good for the podium along with Yokoi, but I can Young You or Pooja sneaking in there.

Pooja Kaylan competed at Broadmoor Open (June 19-23 2018) SP Only, landed 3T+3T, 3F & second half 2A, score 66.74.

How old is she? Any other info?

We need to take into account this domestic score for her:
Final of Russian Cup (210.85)
As is still without an international SB.

Btw while Korean entries are marked as TBA, Korea made distribution.
JGP Bratislava Young You, Ji hun To(ladies) / Jaeseok Kyeong(men) / Jeong eun Jeon/Sung min Choi(ice dance)
So we might expect a battle between Shcherbakova and Tarusina for the win, Yokoi and You for the podium.

Can't wait

Crawling from the depths of nowhere to remind myself that I seriously need to start getting back into this stuff (I barely watched anything last year aside from the Olympics  ), so this is a thing I should watch.

It’s the weekend of my SAT. RIP.
But whatever, I shall make it work. )

Shcherbakova got 210+ at the Cup Final, so that should be much higher than her domestic PB.
