He's also good enough to make the world team without the momentum from good GP showings, or to win the silver at 4CC in a well skated event while 'only' being the american 3rd. So not doing the GPs won't do his further chances much harm - it might not be completely as bad as it looks at first (relatively desperate attempt to make this sound less depressing.
Well, last year he had a total disaster at his second GP because he wasn't ready, which was viewed as damage to his chances. With no such damage this year, he'll be fine. :yes: :yes:
