...did we know it was concussions plural?
See I was sort of confused myself why it was plural.

I think there was a reference to him having one as a kid... but that seems a bit odd.
Christy's remarks in September seemed to imply that the previous concussion from long ago did increase the concern over the recent one?? As if the effect were somehow cumulative in some way??
Stupid question: Is "#PCS" an acronym for something else in this case?? Or is his hashtag referring to Program Component Scores?
... I bet Joshua is referring to "Post Concussion Syndrome" ...
Oh, I'm a dummy :hopelessness:. Thx for the answer.

I kind of liked this interpretation though! Thank you musicfan80 for clearing that up!Third one here. I actually thought "What, already thinking about performing even better when you come back?"I kind of liked this interpretation though! Thank you musicfan80 for clearing that up!
So happy to have an update from Josh, even if it's just a smaller one. He really is a fighter, can't take that from him.
. When he comes back, assuming his jumps and spins come back - won't it be the PCS that will make Joshua competitive anyway? Not that I'm complaining - I can watch his skating skills and choreography all day long :luv17:. But he is competing against skaters who are doing 2 quads in the SP and 3-4 in the FS - and he isn't built like Hanyu or Jin.But best case scenario - does anyone think he was ever going to do more than 1 quad in the SP and 2 in the FS? The best strategy for Josh would be to also improve his 3-3 combinations - doing 3Lz-3T instead of 3Lz-2T and moving the 3F-3T to the second half. Or doing a 3A-3T and making his 3 jump combination something else. There's got to be more points for him somewhere in there.
I need to have a gush moment please!
We all know what Josh's "characterisation" is - the pale, fragile glass prince with so much talent. And yet, and yet, our pale fragile glass prince has a spine of steel, nay, of titanium! Think of all the things he's been through in his career! The first concussion, at 7 or 8. The overwork injury at 14. The toepick to the leg at 15. The torn hip/broken leg at 16. The numerous anaphylactic reactions. The sprained ankle at 18. The sprained ankle at 19. The concussions at 20. At any one of these points, he could have said, "I'm not doing this any more. This is too much. I can't come back from this injury." And we all would have agreed: fair enough, that's understandable.
But he didn't. Everytime, he fights, he fights and he pushes and he works and every single time he doesn't just come back, he comes back even better than he was before, even better than we could have imagined. Every time he comes back he weaves another spell and draws more and more of us into his net. Every time he comes back, he is stronger and tougher and more determined. He might be the pale fragile glass prince, but he is the strong and tough titanium prince as well, and this is why I believe - why I have always believed - that this is not the end, that he will always come back to us.
He's so tough, so strong. His body may be made of glass, but his mind has an iron will - the type of iron will I've only ever seen in one other - the iron will required to rise to greatness in this sport. And I know he will be back, you guys. I know he will be amazing, and I know that when he does we will sit here together and cry and cry, because he has had to fight possibly harder than any other on Team USA, and he will win.

Entire ultimate!Josh explanation
thanks for the heads up.
Even if it is nothing new, it is nice to get more confirmation form a reliable source.
BTW how long are you down there.... snow is forecast for Friday, which means it could show up any time between Wednesday and Monday or not at all. If you get snowed on, I think you promised us a snow angel photo.
The longer hair look doesn't surprise me - you can tell that he has longer hair in some of the pics we've seen earlier on Instagram. Just curious - was the scruff a full mustache/beard or was it more "letting the stubble out a little?" Many men get a better shave and it lasts a bit longer if they shave less often.
