JR, Thanks for the great articles. I was particularly interested in reading your interviews with the competitors on the OD. It's interesting to know that Charlie White's extra twizzle turn was a recovery strategy to get enough turns holding his foot, given that he had missed the hold on the first turn. Wow! At the speed they were going, I don't know how he had the presence of mind to think of that and then execute it.

Will there be any report on the exhibition? I can't find any exhibition reports anywhere. I've only found bits and pieces from separate boards - Johnny skated to Ave Maria, Evan did his short program, B&A did Sexyback, N&B did not do Sexyback (but I don't know what they did skate to), there's a handful of pics on the twincities website (Evan, Johnny, I&B and Caroline) and that's all I've found so far.

NBC appears to be happy with their ratings. And I believe this airs opposite all the super bowl pre fluff so they may air quite a bit. I will bet you won't see any juniors though. Maybe the Jr ladies & Jr men's champion, but that would be it.

They are on this sunday on NBC from 4-6 I believe. So we might get to see a great deal since it is two hours long.

I am almost positive M/B skated to "play that funky music" considering they skating to that at some events that fall.
Also, I am not sure if this works in this topic, but what do you think of skaters skating to music such as sexyback. There are many young children who watch these events. I do not think that it is appropriate........

Compared to what young children are already seeing on tv and listening to on the radio, those exhibitions (including the million ones to "Sexyback") seemed really tame to me. I've seen far worse on the Disney channel.
