According to this tweet: https://twitter.com/qc_911926/status/1206046791306661888?s=19

4t 4s 3lz3lo(fall) 3a2t 3a 3f1eu3s 3lo / 254.44

This is how Junhwan won, although the top spot was basically his barring a disaster, still all my congrations darling. He was still trying his 4F at practice and falling :( and had me worried, when I saw that he's keeping the CoC layout I breathed a sigh of relief. Give the new quad some time darling, you've improved so much on speed and skating skills already that it'll be too taxing on your precious, precious ankles to add another quad. One step at a time, just as you said.

Will post video link when fancams are uploaded (the kakaoTV thing requires you to turn off Adblock :noshake:), hope I get to see a clean free atop a clean short at Nats (and hopefully 4CCs, o skating gods please help me get tickets).

Edit: Video of morning practice is up: https://youtu.be/NCy2-polXeE

No darling I want the white lace shirt back :sad4: :sad4:

Bless Icescape Rasu, here's the video

Literally just got around to watching his ranking comp skates, lol. Busy busy busy.
His rotations on the quads looked so good; definitely looked like he pulled in tighter. Came at the cost of sloppier 3-3's though, haha. Overall, good step up from earlier in the season. He's had breathing room too, not so jam packed like last season, so feeling pretty optimistic for the rest of this season. Hope he's healthy and as always, with fitted boots!

First day of official practice FS runthrough, oh lord darling if you go for the quad flip in the actual competition I might die of nerves :drama: It's under and he had to fight to stay on his feet, but he did land it. I don't know whether I should be proud of him for not giving up on it or be frustrated :dance2:

He is absolutely rotating his quads. 4th consecutive Nats champion.

Oh lord darling :dbana: https://m.sports.naver.com/news.nhn?oid=477&aid=0000226206&redirect=true

When asked about whether his layout at the World Championships would include the 4F or stay the same
he replied "The technical layout will be decided on how training results turn out. If successfully done I think I'll have a go at it. But if there are risks I'll stick to my current layout and try to have a quality skate at the competition."

First, your boots still don't fit 100% (according to another article he said that he's trying to get used to the boots as much as possible, i.e. them boots STILL don't fit) and I absolutely refuse to see you limping again, second, you're not fully rotating it even if you land it (saw him trying during practice at Nats, it was under all the time), third, you're not going to get positive GOE on it even if the tech panel just collectively decides to ignore URs, the landing's stiff at best and it's mostly turnouts and spinouts. It's bad for my nerves and heart :dbana:

Besides, you need to show the judges a squeaky clean skate and get the PCS you deserve like you got at Nats. Get that (sigh) reputation needed for proper PCS, get proper PCS, then bring out that quad flip, fully rotated, next season. One step at a time, as you said so yourself last season.

Thinking back, the ACI layouts of two-quads-SP and three-quads-and-two-3A-combos FS were something for the Olympic season, not the middle season like this one. Though at this rate, he'll try quad combos as well at the start of next season... (dies)

dskjfksdk his boots ughhh
Does he have uneven feet? or flat feet? Maybe something along those lines are causing the fitting issues.

My newest theory is that he has arched feet, based on how he describes the boots "pressing down" on his feet all the time. It's something about the shape of his feet, at this point I'm certain about that. Wish I could get to see his bare feet and determine the issue........

yeah, it probably is the shape/structure of his feet. Figures, if your constantly have fitting issues. Denis(RIP) also had uneven feet, which was a primary cause of his inconsistency.

Well, speak of the devil, SBS news aired a short clip about him today and it included like 3 seconds of his bare left foot. The footage was from last season (which as we all know was absolutely terrible for his feet and ankles) so it is heavily swollen (plus the subtitles are in the way, on top of general terrible image quality) but I do think my theory of arched feet is somewhat close to the truth. Oh darling, balletic characteristics of course help but why the feet...

Oh darling I love you so much, what an incredible performance. So, so, so proud of you

He's still getting salty PCS, but comparatively speaking he got the 4th higest score. So it's getting there, when that quad flip comes in it's going to rise even more. Point is that he's flying high and free as he should

Bravo, Junhwan! A beautiful performance, and as someone who loves lace, I wholeheartedly approve of his costume choices.

Underscored as usual, though...
