Junhwan Cha

It's crazy how much they're hyping bb Cha in the Korean media. I was watching a popular show and the entire time there was a banner at the bottom promoting his SP live broadcast and saying how he's the male Kim Yuna. Talk about pressure

Considering how Olympics is next year in S-Korea, it's gonna get worse and worse... I'm glad he's training in Canada, not just because he has great coaches there, but also because he can still escape this for now...

It is great he is doing well, but he is 15 and 2022 is probably more realistic, so I agree. Toronto is a good training place and refuge from mounting Olympic pressure... for JunHwan as well as Yuzu.

I love his long program so I hope he can deliver a program that he is happy with, considering whatever issues he is currently dealing with.

Congrats on medalling. :hap10: Hopefully the ksu/media can come back to Earth from their state of hype and delusion. Them moreso, but I think even us fans forget sometimes how young cha is- this result could be the perfect storm to peak at junior worlds.

They will push him as hard as they can at the Olympics.

Do we know if jun hwan is keeping the moulin rouge ex for the gala? I'm thinking he'll have a new one since he's kept that for two seasons already, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

wait, is he invited to the gala? i thought they only invite winners from juniors

btw congratulations Jun for getting bronze :yahoo::cheer: i was very nervous until he landed 2nd 3A but then fell on 3F  they should think adding combo to the 1st one its very risky and he wouldnt lose any point since both jumps are at 2nd half, he almost stepped out at JGP Japan but managed to add 3S at the end but not this time
i hope he can manage to get some rest before nationals and let his injuries heal

ok, just saw gala participants and he really is invited!!! :eeking::yahoo:

Congrats to Jun on his GPF medal! :hap10:

I wish Mr 3A will fix his 3A, as it always makes me think of a fall, or UR, it's just bad. His 4S is pretty though :)

Cha as 3rd winner is invited but i dont see 2nd junior men medallist in the list.
Wow :scratch2:  but it's good to see him in the gala.
Hope this shows a good sign from the ISU on Cha.

It's the effect of Yuzuru's politicking in the Men's SP Press Conference
