That’s true. He seems to have a good approach in dealing with it though. He said he’s trying not to worry much because he won’t stop growing even if he thinks about it lol
Looks like he intends to take things slowly and try to stabilize his existing quads (4S and 4T) before moving on to the other ones. I think he’s being careful and slowly adjusting :)
 
well thats good, last season was...well, I hope he gets better, he have the skills to be one of the tops, and who knows, maybe the first Korean male medalist at Olympics, thats possible
 
Geez, 177! I know guys continue to grow for a long time, some into their 20s, but it'll stop soon. But yeah, he's dealt with it better than most men's singles skaters. And reading that interview(which was a month ago, so i hope that growing has slowed now, lol), he's got a good mindset about it. He's still 16, only turning 17 in october. It's not the end of the world if he takes another season or two to adjust.
 
He's almost 5'10''? Wow. I think he'll be hitting 6'0'' soon. I hope Orser's team manages him very well in that case, they do usually have skaters on the tall side, but they are tall for skaters. It would be interesting to see if someone so tall can keep up with the quad race.

I like that the feature is illustrated with a Lysacek photo. The message is: Don't worry, you can be 188cm and still an OGM winner ;)

Conrad Orzel, who is 183cm, joined TCC in April, so Junhwan isn't the only tall skater now. Conrad recently shared on instagram his 4F, which he learned at TCC, what may be a proof that quads are possible also for tall skaters :)

Ah, didn't realize that about Orzel. Not a fan of his 4F, but we'll see then.

I saw that video on Instagram, Orzel does look tall, I guess it’s a good indicator, that’s means TCC have the knowledge to train tall skater. ;)
 
He seems to be well! I'm excited for a proper senior debut for him when he's not injured. I also remember reading somewhere that he doesn't have any friends in Canada :( but if he gets along with Conrad, I'd be super happy! He seems like a great guy from the insta stories we saw at Junior Worlds with him and the rest of team Korea.:)

Junhwan seems to be an outgoing guy from some practice clips, I’m happy that now he has a friend at TCC.

I could be wrong, but I suspect you are mixing up Junhwan with his rinkmate Shingo Nishiyama. Shingo mentioned in an interview for Absolute Skating that he had not yet made friends with anyone at TCC and hoped his training partner Jun would be around more this season so a friendship might develop. Since neither of them post much on Instagram it's tough to know if a friendship might be developing between them, though Shingo seems to be thrilled with Jason Brown arriving (they both appeared in the photo Tracy posted today) and they both are following each other. Let's hope any lonely Team Cricket skaters are finding things more relaxed, and open at the start of a new Olympic quad.

I'm glad Conrad and Jun are getting along and await their debut pop album with bated breath!

Making friends takes time, but it will happen naturally ;)
 
Our tall baby has only received one assignment, but I'm optimistic that maybe he'll get another? I hope! But happy to see him and I hope he's healthy and can't wait to see the new programs! I wonder if he'll recycle the planets.

I want to see the planets so bad(and the same costume). But I have a feeling he'll just get a new program...

Let's see, she's about ~167 cm, so add heels and we can safely say jun hwan is tall but thankfully not more than 178 ish... Maybe it's me just being hopeful but it looks like he's been holding steady height-wise lately. Good luck on your exams, jun hwan!
