Kaetlyn Osmond

So nervous for Kaetlyn! Hopefully she knocks it out of the park tomorrow and is clean, clean, clean.

80

i'm expecting 80 in the short for kaetlyn and AT LAST the clean skate in the free. this girl knows when she needs to do it. at the most important competition. so high hopes for the silver here, maybe even gold

Our hero is knocking on the door here. I know comments about the oppo get me flagged here so let me just say this:

GO KAETLYN!

THERE IS NO INSIDE VOICE RIGHT NOW!

gogogo

this time for AT LAST clean skate!!! the OLYMPICS is the right and gorgeous place for that!!!! go kaetlyn!!!

She should be in contention for gold. She's everything you'd want in an olympic champion. But, I can accept reality and the fact that the judges (especially from RUS and USA) don't see it that way. I'll be content with a clean free.

Popping in to say that I was never a fan of Kaetlyn and I really hated her black swan program at the start of the season. But today, she really impressed me with the improvements. Most likely going to be one of my favourite swan lake performances. Good job Kaetlyn!

I wasn’t a fan, but she forced me to be one with her performces at the Games. I was mesmerized by her short. The long was beautiful, but didn’t have the same impact on me. Too many swans I guess, but still thoroughly enjoyable. I’m still heartbroken over the drama atop the podium. At this point, Kaetlyn is actually the one I feel the most joy for...funny enough. Leaves two beautiful performances on Olympic ice and goes home with two medals. And as an Olympic Champion. Like her smile, she’s a bright spot in all the sadness I feel right now...

Congratulations to Kaetlyn! That was some performance. And for those who made a fuss over the comment "Canadian ladies don't skate like little mice" and didn't understand what that meant, they need to watch Kaetlyn's FS. Wow! Speed, power, attack, ice coverage, musicality, explosive jumps -- this program had it all! And even though she had a little problem on her lutz, she didn't let that stop her. If anything, it seemed to heighten her determination. So happy for her and the well-deserved bronze!

Well, for some starters... in their faces, Kaetlyn ;), You go, girl!

She shut all doubts and hate by what she was able to pull off today, not by she was not. She, Ravi and Jeff really outdid themselves for me with that FS - it was more of a show off for explosiveness and fierceness of a character than getting as close to the ballet visual as possible. Already re-watched twice and that step sequence with choreo sequence were spectacular - she was able to actually build up the tension and slowly seduced audience by her performance. Splendid carriage, explosive jumps, amazing musicality, power and control over every aspect. She looked simply regal, both during performance and on the podium

Brava:bow:

Phenomenal. I knew it was in her somewhere. When she flubbed the lutz a bit, she cast her eyes down like she does when she usually flubs the loop, but then I just saw lift her head in a certain way and I knew she wasn't going to let it get away from her.

Funny that I felt the same - it was not usual downcast shrink, like it was after falls on 3S or 3Lo during the season, but she stepped out of that Lutz and looked straight ahead with some re-ignited sparkle and fire in her eyes. It was for me a point that defined the impact, power of the whole performance, she owned the mistake and got back to the program twice as intensive as she was before

Kaetlyn was amazing! I was honestly not expecting such a spectacular performance from her given her history of bombing the long, but boy am I happy to be wrong. She's just the total package and when she's clean there's really no one who's better than she is :hap10:.
