Kaetlyn Osmond

Just amazed Kaetlyn pulled off getting on the podium in spite of a case of stage fright.

"Today I was absolutely terrified all day. I was nervous," Osmond said. "Usually I talk a lot. I didn't talk very much today. But it was really exciting and I felt more prepared than anything out on the ice."

:-)

Good news folks - there's more Kaetlyn the Comeback Kid to go around. From the CBC:

Osmond said she's looking forward to a few days off before resuming training. She will compete in the World Figure Skating Championship in Milan, Italy, next month.

She said she's not planning to retire any time soon.

"I'm just going to be taking it year by year and see what happens," she said.

"At the moment I'm very tired, I'm happy to be home. I'm excited to finally rest and enjoy it here."

I’d love to see her Summertime short at worlds. I think the Piaf program should be retired after an amazing short on olympic ice.

cannot wait to see Kaetlyn's performance in person in 3 weeks time:), it will be only SP (eh finances...), but I am ready to feel amazed:laugh:

Geo blocked in Canada russianfan, dang, but thank you nonetheless!

it's also doesn't work for me at work, but working at home lol  i guess you can just use any vpn or something like that (i wonder why it's working for me at home though...)

If you're going all that way, we need to get you in to see the other events too! Let's figure out a way!

The victory celebrations continue for our Comeback Kid Kaetlyn Osmond!

Inside Sports with Reid Wilkins - I had this cued to the start of the interview at 20:33 for you all. So sweet to hear Kaetlyn's voice... and Kaetlyn defends quite articulately the figure skating team event in the interview. That alone is worth a listen, and should be copy-pasted to wherever the debates are about the Olympic Team event.

CTV Edmonton of the home rink celebration!

:-)

^^^This was a wonderful interview with Kaetlyn. Thank you so much for posting! What an articulate young lady. She had a great game plan with going to Seoul for practices. That seems to have helped her stay really focused. I got such a laugh when she said her Dad doesn't breathe when she skates! :laugh2: Sounds like me when my favorites skate. I don't do it on purpose, but I just can't help it. I like her honesty about the long program being her nemesis. Hope she does well at Worlds!

I dare you to buy roses and throw 'em at the Kiss n Cry! Have fun!

, thank You! I plan to prepare some 'thank You' style cards, maybe with little drawings and notes how much I admire and appreciate skaters' work to bring us all a joy of watching them. Not sure about amount of those and timeframe, but I will try the best I can:)
