Kaetlyn Osmond

I just watched Kaetlyn's Short to La Vie en Rose it's so darn good and beautiful

Agreed, what a beautiful program and package from Kaetlyn & Vance. If not fresh from her injury and in the same condition/competitive mind set as this season, that program was unstoppable.

I see Lance Vipond is in Edmonton and Kaetlyn just left Toronto. Wondering if Kaetlyn opted out of WTT to get her programs for next year done.

I think it was more to do with giving her body a rest (especially the ankle) and not overdoing it. Qualifying for the GP final, she skated in more ISU comps. (until WTT), than most competitors. I think a wise move to take a break and so pleased that she had an injury free season, and lived up to the skater many of us thought she would become.

Here are some photoso I took of Kaetlyn at World's in Helsinki...

I saw her at Finlandia Trophy in October, she was great.
Then I saw her at the GPF in December, she was even better.
And then World's... she was fully awesome, and earned a well-deserved silver medal.
What fantastic "breakthrough" season!

Looking forward to the Olympic season!

I am thinking she has her choreography done. Lance Vipond was in Edmonton after Worlds and she was in Toronto during WTT possibly working with Jeff Buttle

^^ You're correct hohoho, she was in TO working on her new program for next season but no announcements as of yet.

Hi YesWay. I would love to ask, if you don't mine, Do you have twitter or Instagram account for your beautiful photos?

No, I only use my own web site. They often "travel" beyond there though, thanks to others ;-D (and I don't mind that!)

I don't like handing over my stuff to commercial services because:
- some of them degrade people's images when displaying them
- they may restrict how much stuff people can upload, or how often
- they may restrict how much bandwidth people can use when viewing the stored images
- they may charge amounts that I consider unreasonable, to remove/alleviate such restrictions
- they may require advertisements to be displayed
- they may impose their page designs, appearance and branding on the web pages
- they may track visitor statistics and use those for their own purposes and profit
- they may use people's uploaded images for their own purposes or profit
- they may take ownership of people's copyrights
- they may start out doing none of the above, but change their policies later
- etc etc

So I use my own domain and web site where I avoid the above, and have total control of the content, features and functionality. It's dirt cheap compared to many paid/unrestricted services, and I can also use it to run all sorts of other services if I want (eg. being able to create and control my own single-use email addresses is really handy for me..!)

Also, for my web site... I like being able to make it low-tech, html-only, no javascript, no activex, "no nothing"...

Sorry for being off topic. This is miss Osmond fan thread after all.

I am just curious. As I wonder how do you get feedback. This is such a huge forum. And I can't send you PM. And asking you in this fan fest is kinda off-topic.

Back to miss Osmond, I believe strongly she will definitely medal at Olympic. She has everything, the speed, the flow, the quality in skating. I wasn't wrong to see her sparkle 3 years ago.

Erm, well... receiving feedback is not really my purpose or intention, when posting links to my photos... but there's an email address at the top level of my site, if you want to talk about something that's off-topic in a fan fest like this.

Had a new idea for a T-shirt honoring Kaetlyn. Probably not get a chance to use it until Stars On Ice comes to Calgary next year, and there's always the possibility of injury or other events (like Joannie skipping this year due to school) taking precedent. But, here it goes, and feel free to adopt it for your own t-shirt. So, announced this week, Summertime for the SP, and Swan Lake/Black Swan for the LP. Can't wait to see these programs!

Swan Lake (or Black Swan) is such a warhorse, but I have to say, I'm really excited to see Kaetlyn's FS. She is fantastic at skating to big music like this one, so it's a great fit for her! :cheer2:

I have to say that I'm very excited and curious about those new programs. It's good to see the range there - musically and character-wise, I think it's a great play on Kaetlyn's maturity presented by her skating. These are the themes very suitable for grown woman, an elegant skater Kaetlyn is. 'Summertime' SP I assume will channel greatly Kaetlyn's entertaining qualities, musicality and that ease she has while moving on ice, interpreting music - as for me those are one of her very trademarks. 'Swan Lake' or 'Black Swan' FS is a bit of surprise for me, but a good, interesting one nonetheless - Kaetlyn never strikes me as a 'classical' skater, so I suspect that even with classical music used, there will be a modern take of it and a different 'interpretation spin' of the character/story that we're used to. I think that the program will be definitely a powerful one, at least designed to be as such - between Kaetlyn's skating, this Black Swan theme and majesty of music, the empowerment and confidence factors would be only a good things to have.

Those choices - and sneak peeks of programs and costumes, gorgeous by the way - are definitely made to make an impact. Waiting for a debut.

I never can get enough of Swan Lake so I am happy (I am not so happy about her SP as I can't stand the sound of Summertime - sorry). I think Kaetlyn has everything to make this program truly memorable. I wonder how Alina's version will be looking in comparison, not too good is my guess - no disrespect to Alina but her artistry is just not there yet
