The long-awaited second edition of the "K7D1+COLLECTION", a collaboration project between PUMA and KanaDai, will be called the "SUPAEVO COLLECTION.
In their third season as a team the Kanadai couple has won the Japanese Championships, which they have longed for, and have tickets to the Four Continents Championships and the World Championships, breaking records one after another that no one else has been able to achieve. This collection was created with the PUMA design team, with design supervision by Kana Muramoto and Daisuke Takahashi.
The design for this collection is a cute design that is a departure from the sporty image of the previous "K7D1+COLLECTION". The large, cute character is based on PUMA Japan's original character "NEKO SAN", which is also loved by KanaDai. Daisuke Takahashi and Kana Muramoto are represented in a spectacular dance.
The word "SUPAEVO" on the design is an abbreviation of "Super Evolution", a key word that Daisuke Takahashi came up with. It was born from Team KanaDai's motto for this season, which is to evolve even further, bigger and deeper than they have in the past.
The T-shirt is available in spring pink and passionate red.
PUMA will continue to support Daisuke Takahashi and Kana Muramoto, who are constantly challenging and evolving.
wow, he has so much great ardor! It's just fantastic!he said he’d like to try skydiving, paragliding, hang gliding, bungee jumping and visiting a haunted house before he turns 40.
Daisuke Takahashi: "Where I am now, at 37", taking on the World Championships: "I'm going to hang on to skating for the rest of my life".
Daisuke Takahashi from Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, will compete in the ice dance event of the Figure Skating World Championships, which began on 22 March at Saitama Super Arena. What motivates him to keep going with figure skating at the age of 37? We asked Takahashi about where he is now. (Broadcast 22 Mar 2023).
Nine years after his heartbreaking absence Daisuke Takahashi descends on Saitama, Japan. "These will be the last world championships in Japan of my life”.

At the 2014 World Championships, held at Saitama Super Arena during his singles days, he advised Akiko Suzuki (37), who was injured, "It's a competition held in your home country, and I think those who have supported you are looking forward to seeing you skate". While he encouraged his friend, who was unsure about competing, Takahashi himself was forced to miss the competition due to a serious injury. However, nine years later, he returned to the World Championships, which opened at the same venue on 22nd, as an ice dancer.
In the Rhythm Dance (RD) on 24, he performed sharp steps and a gorgeous lift to a high-tempo Latin tune. In the twizzles in the beginning of the competition the rotations did not match, but he looked relieved after the performance: they placed 11th with 72.92 points, and their goal of finishing in the top 10 was becoming more and more realistic. Takahashi said: 'The moment I went up the stairs, I saw so many spectators. I was happy and nervous. I was very nervous today, but I enjoyed skating," he recalled.
It was the first time that Takahashi had competed at a World Championships held in his home country since 2007, when he won the silver medal in singles. He said, "It's been a long time since I competed at the World Championships in Japan, in a different category, and it's been a valuable experience for me," he reflected.
The "Phantom of the Opera" that "KanaDai" will perform in the free dance on 25th is a memorable piece that Takahashi performed in the free skate at the 2007 World Championships. “I think I couldn't have imagined myself then what I am doing now, but I want to skate while being grateful to be able to skate at the World Championships in Japan again," he said. “I want to relive the excitement of that day once more.” Takahashi's matured expressiveness will mesmerise the audience.
Kana and Dai brought the house down with an elecrtifying skate! Two minor mistakes did not tarnish their performance and the crowd’s adoration the slightest bit. The reception they got was a sight and sound to behold – a standing ovation and a sea of K7D1 banners going along with thunderous cheers. The roars during the MiSt sounded deafening on tv. I’m so incredibly happy for them – they deserve this so much, especially after Dai’s tough luck in 2014 when he was denied a fitting end to his illustrious singles career on home ice.
Praying to the skating gods that they have another such skate tomorrow.
