Kelowna, BC ON FIRE!!!!

Kelowna BC is engulfed by horrible fires that started a couple of days ago. So far some 6000 people were evacuated and animals, including horses were rescued. I hope anyone here at Golden Skate who lives in this area is safe!

My thoughts and prayers are with these people as they struggle against mother nature.

Lad, Has it been particularly dry in BC this year? or has something else gone wrong that allowed these fires to spread so?

It's been very dry and hot. Also these fires were caused by human carelessness.
