Will anyone be watching the Kurt Browning special this Sunday on NBC? I ahven't seen a commercial for it to know much about it. I only found out about it on Friday when my boyfriend told me after working at Universal. I think its a great idea to use Andrea Bocelli. I love Bocelli's voice so much and think it's a great fusion of music and skating. I heard he sang last year for a skating special and did a great job. I unfortunately heard about it too late and missed it. I'm curious as to who the skaters are for the program...

I admit I've never been a huge Shae-Lynn Bourne fan but I recently downloaded her "Caruso" progam and thought it was wonderful; I intend to watch on Sunday to get it on tape. I am a big Silvia Fontana fan which gives me another reason to watch.

Excuse the self-pimp, but for info on Gotta Skate:

(full lineup of skaters and guests)

Or if you're even more curious than that:

And, speaking of Universal, a press release from them on the special and Bocelli's new album:

It was a really good show - I highly recommend everyone catch it on Sunday!

And if you miss it on Sunday, it'll be re-airing on Bravo Feb. 2 from 8-10PM EST, and Feb. 4 from noon-2PM. And then it'll air in Canada on CBC on March 7, 2006.

But yeah, your first chance to see it will be this Sunday, Dec. 18 from 4-6PM EST on NBC (check local listings, I think they usually air at 1-3PM PST).

Kurt Browning

I love Kurt Browning. Besides being a thoroughly nice man, he is the greatest stylist among men figure skaters ever. His interpretation of SINGIN IN THE RAIN is the finest piece of interpretive skating I have ever seen.
