Came home just in time for the last half of Joannie's program. Yeah! Still a few silly errors but she's just at a whole other level this year with her skating. I hope she keeps this up!

To give Mao credit, she dealt with the disappointment very well. She kept her smile. I wonder what Tarasova was repeating at the Kiss-n-Cry zone. She seemed more upset than Mao.

Well no question about that one. Asada kinda self-destructed, but bravo to Rochette for holding it together and just having a couple minor errors to decisively take the gold.

One thing I've noticed is an improvement in the centreing on Rochette's spins. Much cleaner than in the past.

I have not seen the program yet, but I have seen the scores and read the descriptions (thank you so much for those!), and it is wonderful to "see" Joannie blooming like the rose. I am very happy for her!

I thought that one was a little too skin tight (a la gymnast's) and didn't like the color at all.

TAT said that she nails the true lutz 7 out of 10 or something. But perhaps nerves affected her in a competition?

TT's scorecard is not very good. Mao should forget about working on so-called flutz, it has messed up her old technique and confidence tremedously. TT is not a technical coach, I doubt she can help Mao with jump technique.

I liked that it was a light pastel color, but preferred a brighter/lighter color. A bit too dark in tone.

Anyways, after four competitions, I think it does say something about Yuna and Joannie for skating FOUR relatively clean programs seeing as how everyone else has bombed left and right.
