Ladies Short Program

Hoping for Yukari and/or Joannie to go clean and maybe pull off the upset...!
Mao's skating really doesn't do much for me. My favorite program of hers is still her Nutcracker long.

Mao doesn't do much for me either, but technically she is way, way beyond both Yukari and Joannie. I would be shocked if she didn't win this competition by a substantial margin.

If Mao has a slow start to the season like last year, they have a chance...especially Yukari if she can get that 3A and Mao misses hers.

Missed most of Alisa Drei's (damn slowwww connection) but she had a fall on the SLSS, nice combo spin to close, finished behind music. Her SP was to Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.

On the replay, looks like she did 3T-2T and footwork into 3F. Looks sorta dejected in K&C. She keeps touching her left knee...she may have injured herself on that fall in the footwork.

footwork into 3Z- flutz, but very nice fast rotation
Nice spiral sequence- decent positions and pretty steady
3T-3T - GOOD! No toe-axeling here
NIce combo spin
SLSS goes to music, lots of edgework
Squeaks out 2A
Flying sit into pancake, then twisted
Sideways into catchfoot layback - pretty nice
Slight stumble at very end

Very nice! Well put-together program.

My connection's pretty unsteady, it seems. It'll cut out to a red screen about every other program.

Seems like Ashley attempted 3flip-3loop, though she steped out. Seemed she completed the rotation though.
