Sorry but Yu-Nas score was perfectly fine.
How can explain Carolina Kostner's score then?? She only singled an axel, should be on par with Yu-Na Kim.
Yu-Na kim is a joke.

Exactly. To put Yu-Na behind CZ, judges should've deducted more than 10 points for the 3-3 combo, which I think would've been a joke.
I don't have problem with CK being behind CZ or YuNa either because I see nothing special about Carolina Kostner's skating. Besides the speed, she does absolutely nothing for me. Her PCS hasn't improved since the day I first saw her.

Another thing I can't stand about Kostner's skating. I feel like I could take a bathroom break while she telegraphs every one of her jumps. She skates nearly the entire length of the rink telegraphing her jumps while her choreography just stops. Jump already!!!
Yu-na got the same TES here as she did at CoR, where she had all positive GOE's except for the 2A, a required element (she did a single, and so -3 GOE). Because of the lower base value of the 2A, she lost 4.3 there (compared to the clean 2A at CoC), and she should've lost about 8.6 here for the 3F/1T (which was what she lost at CoC compared to CoR; she also singled the toe in CoC). I'm at a loss as to how her TES here got compensated elsewhere. She had a level 1 step sequence in CoR, which maybe gives her another 1.5 if she got level 3 here.
She also had 3 level 3 spins, if they were all level 4 today, then that gives her another 1.5. But who gets all level 4's? Not even Caroline Z. Anyway, plus perhaps she got a higher GOE here for the 3Lz than at CoR (where she had 0 GOE).
So I guess it's just about possible that Yu-na could've gotten the score she did today, if she was really judged to have totally, totally maxed out on all the other jumps, spins, and spirals: i.e. all +1 to +2 GOE's, all level 4's. I'm sorry, but she doesn't have the best spirals and spins in the women's field. Yukari and Caroline both have better spins, and Caroline and Mao also have better spirals.
Yu-na had a SB, and she said herself that this was her worst SP this season.
Anyway, if Yu-na's TES is puzzling, Mao's is totally baffling to me. TES=31 with only a clean 2A?!
At Worlds 2007, Yuna got about 30 points for the elements except the 3F3T combination, and she really improved her spiral and the quality of her spins this season, so I think the score is just ok.

I continue to believe that if she can rotate all her jumps tomorrow, she has a good chance to medal.

It should be -3 in her lost 3Lz.So Mao got a best GOE+ in other elements. How about Mao?

Mao's score 31.00 was 2.87 point lower than her (imaginary) best.
Oh poor guy, you must be blind!
