you know what, that what really PERFECTION. Her coach is applauding her every technical element. from start to end
and audience is completely absorbed and clapping her stsq in the end. totally stunning
really did NOT expect Zijun skate like that!!!!!
that performance reminds me of Yuna's SITC.
the audience around me said that even her dress is perfect!!!
it was a whole piece from start to end, juat a perfection performance.

she got every music phrasing and emotion exactly right this time. it was really special, the audience give her a SO!

What I love about it is how effortlessly pretty and lovely her style as became. it has become her 'brand', more than anyone right now. I particular enjoy her upper body movements, gorgeous arms to the finger tips, less rush rush. She learnt to let the program breathe... something Zhenya hasn't managed to do yet. I really enjoy watching a wide range of skaters... there's no one does as good as an effortlessly modest, pretty and lovely skating like Zijun right now. She seems growing more elegant, but there are still tons of room for improvements though. I hope she continue refine the details... her artistically maturity is coming through. I am worried for her FS actually due to stamina issues i hope she overcome. Trying to add power and strength to her overall presentation so she has more to work with.

I think many people have already noticed her for several years now (big reputation poitns from Alisa Cizny for example), but her PCS is always suppressed for some reason. It happened since 2013, of course her growth spurt and stamiina issue didn't help. It gave judges an excuse to not award her. To think her PCS used to be on the same level of Satoko and Rika once upon a time.

Li was absolutely stunning live! She was as delicate as a flower. Her jumps were fully rotated today for sure (She did the combo at my section of the rink, and I was keeping a close eye on the second toe).

Her PCS should have been higher by 1-2 points, but I guess it's because she was in an earlier group.

Hope she finally breaks her FS curse. Excited to see her again on Saturday!

Btw, Li was one of the few non-American skaters to have received a standing O from the audience, which was impressive!

The audience did not give Mao, Rika, or any of the Russians a standing O.

yes, his -3t is absolutely fully rotated, her best -3t, the 2 ones she did in 6 min warm-up is under-rotated, but in competition, it was fully rotated, coach clapped very loudly for that element. Like I said, coach clapped very loudly for every tech element. from start to end.
Her coach is actually a very reserved man.
she left her absolute best in the competition.

really one of a kind those kinda delicate elegance. think about Yuna's once upon a dream(there is a fanmade clair de lune using that clip , it was perfect). actually many similar choreo from that Yuna's program as well.

nobody like zijun in that aspect.

zijun usually had some timing issue with music, and some moves not as connect, but this time it was really great, phrasing and mood!!!

also zijun probably has the best spin in current field of ladies, just too beautiful to watch.

maybe she is not versatile, but that performance is perfection.

when I watch zijun's SP in the rink, it really reminds me of Yuna's that famous SITC fancam!:o:

it was a almost full house audience different from SA, (which really are mostly Japanese fans actually not that much audience to begin with)
Therefore, audience response really says something.
they cheer for Americans is obvious.
but other than Americans, the skaters audience cheered is also the skaters I cheered watching live. the audience really doesn't has much predisposed opinion about skaters such as reputations etc. they just respond to performance they saw.

This Worlds was by far the best showing Zijun has ever had! Clean SP, solid FS! Not quite as clean as Worlds 2013 FS, but still great! I'm so excited to see her next season!
