Congrats to lovely Loena on a long and successful career I've been a fan ever since her 2018 short program to Madonna's Frozen caught my eye. I hope she finds joy skating free of injury worries and pressures in shows.

I'll miss her , she is one of my favorites and her skating style was very distinctive and different to other skaters. I wish her all the best and say thanks you for all the emotions she brought with her skating also with her Christmas card every year too (a detail that talks more about her and made the difference too)

Not my favorite skater either and I questioned many of her costumes but I do think she did a lot for figure skating in her country and I respect her continuous efforts to better herself. It's always sad when someone with her credentials and accomplishments retires. I wish her well.

I think that it would be nice if moderators could move all the comments from the retirement thread to this thread. There, at the general retirement thread, are comments for her retirement, too. Would be nice to all comments to be in one place.

While Loena was never my favorite skater she would perform the hell out of her programs and got the most out of her talent and when the Russian ladies were banned in 2022 she really lifted up the level of skating in her own and other European countries which had been lacking since Carolina Kostner. Good for you Loena Hendrickx as Dick Button would say.

Have to say I'm going to miss her. She was one of my faves .... her programs ... her costumes .... her performance skills. I wish she could have stayed longer but I understand that she's had a rough go of it the past couple of years. Her body was hurting and she has to do what's right for her. Wishing her a future filled with love, good health and a gazillion smiles.
