Thanks a lot for the photos Franklin99. I love Mao's sizzling smooth dance moves with long graceful undulations in her sparkling red dress like the waves of the sea moving in fiery fluidity, and her rhythmic head and shoulder shakes with her head thrown back and priceless smile are a contagious case of delightful dance fever. Mao, really knows how to get down! I especially love the combination of styles: an intoxicating mix of ballet, Jazz, Spanish and Mao's own unique ingredient. I think Mao is the best dancer in skating.

From 2005, I think Mao's outfit matches beautifully like a bouquet of white and pink roses.

I was really upset today to find that Mao's Sochi LP with Tarasova commentary and almost 2.7 million views has been removed by the IOC. The quality of the picture was not that great, but it was just a perfect symbol of Mao's timeless performance because it was full of such beautiful tributes and I will admit a lot of impassioned criticism of the scores. I posted there so many times. Other skaters LP performances were released by the IOC in HD. I think the other skaters had nice performances, but Mao's was by far my favorite and also deserved an HD release by the IOC.

I also felt upset when Mao's Sochi LP video with over 1 million views featuring a very emotional Mai was taken down because reading the tributes there also made me feel like I was reliving the epic grandeur and wonderful roller coaster of emotions in Mao's performance. Her performance is the reason I joined this forum and it is my all time favorite. There are still a lot of versions left, but these were extra special.

rosewood at fsuniverse posted this message about more shows for Mao's show, The Ice Tour : Kitakyushu show (Aug 10-11) was added to THE ICE 2016 tour. It's rumored that Midori might appear at this show since it is the related place to her. (i.e. She does skating lessons a couple of times a year around the venue of the Kitakyushu show. )

Thanks to rosewood for another update about Mao. Here is the message: One of Mao's sponsor companies Arsoa announced they'll invite Patrick and Carolina together with Mao to their own "on ice party." (I'm not sure what kind of party it will be yet. 2000 of Arsoa's customers will win a ticket by lottery.) The party is scheduled on the same day as Nagoya show of THE ICE. rosewood says that they bet Patrick and Carolina will be invited to THE ICE too. But, nothing has been confirmed yet. But, it sounds likely.

I haven't heard anything about Mao's training. It will be so wonderful to see her skate again at Worlds. I wish her the very best and that both programs end with a huge grin and great satisfaction for Mao. I think Mao has the most beautiful mix of artistry and athleticism and such a regal and emotionally compelling nature to her skating. She is also really charming and warm-hearted while having the quality of being forever young and still expressing maturity. Here are some beautiful photos.

Thanks for the pics! It may be a good thing that we don't hear much about her training, it means that she's not being followed around and/or that it's kept tightly private for better conditions. Hopefully we'll see her skating the way she can really do at Boston. How awesome would it be if she gets a 4th title?

Here is some information and a short clip about Mao's training. Thanks to rosewood for posting. So nice to finally see Mao on ice again with her magnificent triple axel!

Here is a clip from a Fuji TV's news show aired yesterday. It shows Mao's 3A in a LP run through. Judging by her clothes maybe this clip was recorded on the same day as Fuji TV shot their commercial video for Worlds. Not necessarily very recent training but at least the latest clip we see after the NHK's exhibition show in the beginning of January. In the news show Kozuka said (nice to see Kozuka appeared on TV as a commentator Smile ) that he recently skated with her and her condition was getting better little by little. Sounds she's not on her top form yet but I'm relieved to hear she's on the up-going wave. During the very short interview Mao said she wishes to show determined skating by trusting in what she's done after deciding to make a comeback.
