I noticed it in the video too, but one thing that I've always noticed about Marin is how she can smile even in her jumps and spins. Everything just flows.

The atsumori in the instagram video I think is just a meme or something in Japan from when the atsumori kanji got stamped onto the screen while the reporter was talking about a heist that happened.

Rooting for Marin for this weekend! Shes the cutest and I really hope she does well.

It's a shortened version of "getting really pumped up!" that they used for showing plays in baseball. The guy I think is the original voice for it.

I adore Marin and want her to slay this season, and her spiral is stunning, but am I the only one who feels like it’s badly mistimed to the music? She ends it literally right before the musical climax every time...whyyy :sad4:

Other than that, lovely program. The music is really big but I think its a good challenge for her.

oh marin she was absolutely beautiful though in that SP. Her footwork and her interpretation to the music is sublime. Out of all the skaters today, she was definitely the best in terms of artistry and skating skills. Why was that PCS so low :disagree: I hope she angry skates tomorrow and kills it.

I didn't even realize it was her GP debut. ((((Marin)))) She must have imagined it very differently. Hope she can put this aside (except takes lessons from it as a learning experience) and be briliant in the FS.

I hope Marin doesn't feel too discouraged. There was still a lot of good in her program (that wasn't rewarded but yeah). She could come back quite a bit in the long and tbh the other girls except KO also made a lot of mistakes.
I also hope she can learn from that experience not to let go because of a mistake. Because the fall on the combo really wasn't that bad but then with the spin levels 1 and 2 and the invalid axel she had no chance.
The media pressure she faces on her debut season to be the poster child of Japanese ladies must be so crushing so i really feel for her but i honestly think she has the incredible talent and inner fortitude to bear it.
