Thank god that Takahashi wins! Yay! (And this, boys and girls, is why short programs DO matter) Whew!

Takahashi tonight screwed up as much or more then Evan last night. However Daisuke is the much better skater so if both make mistakes he will come out ahead and rightfully so.

How did Daisuke "king of footwork" get Level one for his straight line footwork in the short?!

Overall, although it wasn't exactly a splatfest, it wasn't particularly exciting. What I enjoyed most was how well Carriere did (even though I don't really love his LP), that Evan fought back, and that I was exposed to Patrick Chan. What? Is he Canada's secret weapon? I'm not sure he was even on my radar, but I'll take notice after this. And only 16? MASSIVE potential.

I think it's what happens with most of Morozov's footwork, they are very very "showy" but not necessarily difficult.

It's the same that happens with Lambiel's spins before remember? They were insanely fast and the weirdest position ever and yet only get level 1 because he will never change edges.

And yet some of Morosov's choreography is truly engrossing ... regardless of how it places (who knows why judges do what they do?) ... like Pang & Tong ... I thought their Romeo and Juliet was sublime ... despite the fact that I don't love that over-worked music.
