I wonder how the problems with the ice here affected Stephane. He is known to be very sensitive to his surroundings and when things are not just right, he doubts himself. I'm not making excuses for him, just wondering if that affected his psyche here. He tends to step it up when Worlds comes around; he'll definitely need to do that in Sweden. Go Stephane . . . believe in yourself; your fans believe in you!!!

I think it was a 4/2/2 for Stéphane. I'm a little disappointed that he didn't go for a triple Axel or a second quad, but the program itself was incredible, and he seemed happy at the end. I really wanted him to win though.

yeah, that program is amazing. even if the jumps were all singles.


Sergei Voronov is in third? he was the cleanest yet no? But i have not seen the program.

He will get Bronze, but if he wouldn't have been overmarked yesterday - it would be 4th place after Voronov.

I'm not surprised with this result. Brian really has to hit the jumps in order to beat Stephane because there is such a difference between the quality of their programs with the PCS. Stephane was too far behind in the SP to have a chance at overcoming Tomas. Overall, I think the results are fair.

Congrats to Tomas for gold, Stephane for silver, and Brian for bronze!

Hopefully, we will see better skating by all at Worlds!!
