Men's Short Program

well that was a squeaker on all jumps and fell on the 3lutz

beautifully intricate program though. Loved the step sequences and all the in-betweens. This program could definitely take him far if he lands the jumps!

AND he's SOOO CUTE!!!

Oh please go clean...

3F-3T, squeaks out both jumps
3A, squeacked out again
Nice flying sit
Really lovely choreography into circular step, which is also very difficult and dramatic but done effortlessly
A stumble at the end of the steps
3Z fall...*sigh*
Nice change-of-foot sit
Straightline steps, again very much in tune with the music and well executed
Strong final combo spin

Pity about the fall and the stumble...it's a great program. I was hoping he'd keep Adios Nonino for this year but this is just as good.

66.85 - 2nd but extremely close to Ponsero, his PCS brought him back up

Ok someone tell me that is a late peaker and in Worlds he'll be great. What was that?! He was so SO slow.

His jumps were gorgeous in the warmup, hope they hold up here

4T-3T, fall on 3T...pity but at least he got the quad!
Nice strong reboutd with 3A, lovely landing
3F, squeked out
Flying sit, bobble with change of position
Rather plain straightline step
Change of foot sit, this was better
Circular step, a bit better than SL but still not that exciting
Final combo spin, problem with change of foot

Lacked spark...hope he skates more aggresively in the LP.

66.11 - 4th, still within striking distance

Shae-lynn used to coach Kevin, right? Kurt mentioned that he felt that Kevin had a "wall" up between himself and the audience. I guess Shae couldn't break that down.

I think he should be behind Vaughn (he's not, he's one ahead of him). That's bull, even with the quad.

Here's Brian. Another Kurt choreographed program! Kurt said he is nervous to see how it is received.

Wow, first through fifth is a virtual tie. The LP is going to be all-important. Aww, sounds like Buttle had an off jumping night.

JOUBERT - now THAT was sweet as pie! Great skate! He realized that he didn't need the quad triple so he elected to do a quad double, making it look so easy! Skating like a world champion for sure. That footwork is soooo Kurt!
