This situation leaves me some questions. I wonder if he is doing his visa in Uzbekistan French embassy or in China? ISU should have sent him invitations earlier. I wonder how they do it in other countries, but 3 visas for 21 days is not very realistic in Uzbekistan. A question arises here: would not Bulgarian and French be the same Schengen visa? Then could not he just get Schengen visa in Bulgarian embassy and ask there for multiple entries since he has later competition in France, which is very normal? If the problem is that he has to go to China in between, then maybe he could get his French visa in Chinese French embassy?
I also wonder why he puts Sofia on more priority than GP Bompard. He is clearly the one who could make GP Final. If he cancelled his Bulgaria instead, he could manage to make his French visa in time. Maybe he still hopes that somehow he will be able to have both of them. Btw. he trains in China, right? Does it mean he has a permanent residenship there? If so, why would he need a visa to go there?
It really sucks that he has to deal with all these stressful and time consuming issues. I wonder who is managing this sort of issues for athlethes from other countries, like Chinese or Russian?
