Movie "Across the Universe"

Wonderful! I highly recommend seeing "Across the Universe." Of course, it is all Beatles music. Those who lived through the turbulent 60s - as I did - will really relate to the movie's theme. Even if you did not - how can one go wrong with Beatle's tunes?

just doesn't appeal to me... yeah some of the Beatles songs are cool, but I am really tired of the politically motivated films...

Hmm...the real theme of the movie is the Beatles message:

"All you need is Love...."

I love The Beatles and I do want to see this movie but I can't find it playing in any theater near me.

The only thing is, when songs that weren't written for musicals are used in musicals there is a tendency to interpret the song lyrics literally. I hope this movie avoided that.

the Beatles were very good at pushing their political agenda (all you need is love was still a political message... they were their own political movement in a way)

besides, from the previews of the film, the 'songs' aren't done very well... *shrugs*

and no doubt Imagine gets at least a little love, and that's more than enough political message for me... I just want to enjoy the movie, not be annoyed by it.
