Music you wish someone would skate to

I would give:
1. "Marriage D'Amour" by Paul Senneville to Alysa
2. "Fly" by Einaudi to Amber
3. "Carousel" by Phamie Gow to Isabeau

There is a junior dance team that skated to Skye Boat Song this year.
We can share custody...it is one of my favorite programs of the year
Eniko & Zoard Kobor GER

Nothing will ever match the Kerrs' version, of course, but I'll take this choreography over Fear and Gibson's tacky "Highland dancing" :no3:any time.

I cannot believe you guys do not like my post with the hit band of the hour : Angine de poitrine :).

:cry3: :wonder::dbana::laugh3::rofl::laugh2:
I somehow missed your post when it first showed up, so I scrolled back now and found it. Oh, I don't know, I can see Anthony Paradis having fun with a shortened version?:bsplit::dance2:With appropriate costume, of course :wonder:!

Since it's already off season some ideas come to my mind. I just rewatched few Carolina's programs and I wish sb skate to Debussy's "Prelude to the afternoon of a Faun" again. It's a great but also unique and quite difficult peace with a lot of potential to explore. I think Mone Chiba would nail it, maybe Lara Naki with her beatiful lines and creativity would also bring sth special, Mayuko Oka as well. I would also love to see a version by ice dancers, I think IkuKo could try it or maybe LaLa with their gorgeous skating skills, they need some serious material with musical layers matching their skating potential.

Before Kostner used it, Debussy's Faun was for a long time one of those iconic pieces other skaters wouldn't touch because it was so associated with Janet Lynn. But eventually memories fade enough that certain "sacred to..." music gets revived, like Bolero, or Carmen, that Donald Jackson used for his gold medal performance in Prague in 1962.

Livia Kaiser used it the most recently. It was pretty nice program.

I just watched Legends of the Fall for the umpteenth time last night and, as always, was gobsmacked at how beautiful the music would be for a pairs program. I believe someone skated to it years ago (Nate Bartholomay perhaps) but maybe it's time to bring it out again. Can picture Hase and Volodin with their elegant lines.....

an alternative option for Lara:

^ For Inga Gurgenidze
we're kind of type casting the girls but you know what? i like it

this movie has a great sountrack, i can see various pieces mixed together and choreographed across all disciplines. we need more vikings :ROFLMAO:

ALSO

Genrikh this season skated to Daredevil in a generic red shirt. now Genrikh is a junior and not the most accomplished skater, i'd like someone else, i. e. Adam, to pick up the red costume and play the blind vigilante

Was that her program where she was a fairy in the woods?

I turned off the music during someone's FS and put this on while he skated. I was surprised how well he wore the music. You could cut parts out since the piece is so long (6:21) and use other parts that are purely instrumental with amazing success if you are a good jumper. Hint.

Would love for Fear/Gibson to skate to Pearls (or really, any upbeat song) by Jessie Ware! (Loved that Pereira/Michaud had such a successful SP with her!)

I don't remember now, but it's probably on Youtube. She used the Faun music both in competition and as a show program in her brief professional career. Are you thinking of the John Curry-produced "Snow Queen?" I didn't see that show but they may have given her her old competitive music for it since it was associated with her.

you know what? this is a great idea. i could see Kazuki skating to this.

that said i keep wishing for a Confortably Numb + Wish you Were Here program (speaking of bands with 10 + minutes songs :ROFLMAO: ) and you? do you think you can tell heaven from hell?
