Already posted above, but so cute it's worth a second look! Here's the post where I translated the writing.

NBC Sports has an article about Jeremy Abbott where he discusses Nathan.

In 2010, an 8-year-old Chen shared the ice with Abbott at the post-nationals gala. Abbott was the senior champion headed to his first Olympics. Chen the novice champ already eyeing the 2018 Winter Games.

“From the time he was 9, it was like, this kid’s going to save men’s figure skating,” said Abbott, a late-bloomer who won his first U.S. senior title at 23. “I’m sitting there like, don’t count on it. He’s 9. You can’t judge what someone’s going to do when they’re 19. But he’s definitely lived that.”

In summer 2016, Abbott remembered skating in Colorado Springs, still considering returning to competition for one more Olympic run.

Chen was at the rink, too, returning from January left hip surgery.

“He just pulled off quad [Salchow] and quad toe [loop jumps] like he had never been hurt,” Abbott remembered. “I was like, this kid is insane. What is going on? Then, two months later, there’s video of him doing quad flip and quad Lutz. It blew my mind.”

Sorry, I didn't notice it! :( Thanks for all your translations though, they are greatly appreciated!:)

Not a lot of practice reports. Here's one article where they say Nathan was looking ok and landing his 4Lz combo. They mention Nathan changing out his blades and quote him as saying the door is wide open with Hanyu and the others not present. He also says he wants to just focus on his own performance.

^^
Do you have more details about Nathan change blades.
Does he change blades during GPF practices which means that he has blade issue again there in Japan.
or it means that he has changed blades since SA which is true he changed all his blades into black ones during gala.

I just hope this whole blades/boots thing would NOT become something mental to Nathan.

Anyway, good luck to Nathan Boi!

The appear to be talking about him changing blades at SA. At least that’s what it seems like through google translate.

Yeah, they were talking about the problem at SA and why he had a disappointing result.

Nathan was amazing! No deductions and 45 in components :yahoo: (to the qualifying jurors 2-5-8 I have them in my sights , jejejeje its a joke  ) The important is a program without falls and Nathan has it :hap93:

I would bet, in addition to it being the GPF and prestigious in it's own right - he's wanting to make sure Skate America doesn't happen again. He did good to fight through today, even Raf told him - nobody fights like you do! Hopefully he gets some good rest and can redeem himself from his Skate America FS. :)

In the future, I hope Nathan can ride every program/performance withOUT fight.
Every outing is still a learning experience for Nathan Boi.
Hope Nathan Boi can have a sweet dream tonight!
