according to Korea report clips, looks like Nathan's first practice on practice rink, FS run-thu, attempted 3lutz and 3Flip as first 2 opening jumps. He did good 4S, 4F-3T outside of FS run-thru. And allegedly messed up his triple jumps(assuming it is 3A) toward the end of his FS run-thru.

As for his condition about 4lutz, from all information, I think he is just ease in.

Jackie's report looks like Nathan will try 4F-3T // 4T 3A for the team event. if he can not tug on -3T after 4F, he may do 4T-3T
for the individual event, I think Nathan may swap 4T into 4Lz.

according to Jackie, Nathan's 3A seems more stable.

according to all repo, seems like Nathan enjoyed first day practice in both practice ice and the real competition ice.

EDIT： a small detail about Nathan's warm-up routine, according to video clip, Nathan did counter+ 3jump instead of his usual change-of-edge+ 3jump.:o:
And it seems the lovely "tour" jump in Nathan's choreo stsq is not there again...

I think Nathan BOI could totally incorporate this into figure skating. Shout out to Shae-lynn Bourne, maybe some new cool moves for Nathan BOI in the future.

EDIT: actually, one dude in this video did a move that is very similar to walley jump in figure skating:laugh::biggrin:

Nathan is their hometown hero, for sure. SOI was smart to have a tour stop in SLC this year. This past Sunday's paper was the Nathan Chen edition.

Hopefully he feels more comfortable with his 4f today! :) After Nationals, I'm not putting too much stock in practice reports - but I hope he can feel confident going into the TE.

No. He’ll be one the ice more time sometime this afternoon.
 
Jackie's practice reports. Kind of so-so. Did 3F-3T during the run thru but not sure if that might have been intentional because it looks like he hadn't warmed up the 4F yet.
