Yes, as in they have a very large collection of outfits from past tours and they re-use them in the different SOI tours around the world depending on year. Their costume designer passed away suddenly last year and they had a stand in designer last year but I don't think that worked out because they are no longer working with them.
Very informative thank you for sharing this, i first had a question about the circulation of costumes when I noticed the Osaka SOI costumes in the women group number appeared to share a basic silhouette with each showing a slight differences in lining and the closeup looked worn. Now your answer explained it all. I hope they do find a new but good designer team. You must be a season ticket holder to know these things haha.

You're welcome. I know alot from being within the sport at that level myself and also attending shows in some form since the mid-90s.
An interesting info bite: The costumes have a tag sewn inside of them with the name of each of the skaters that have worn them in the past.
For example: Kristi Yamaguchi, Meryl Davis, Yuka Sato for one costume.
ETA: There is a good chance that for the US tour this year the finale costume that Nathan is wearing probably has a tag inside it from 2015 when it was used and may have been worn by Patrick Chan or John Kerr.
Also, the SOI collection of costumes is also used yearly in Scott Hamilton's shows in Cleveland and Tennesee, and Kristi Yamaguchi's Dream shows in Hawaii and California.![]()
Wonder what else Nathan skated then - No Good?
Nathan is pulling off this white jeans look as best he can haha
Dangrespect for your talent! This is so cool it’s like listening to SOI history. I love the tag concept, wow one day those will be very valuable fashion collection. I need to start saving to bid Nathan’s
good job to the seamstresses behind the scenes. Hamilton a legend and I adore Yamaguchi since I was a kid, maybe will check out her show if it’s in town.
Btw, I think Nathan is a tiny bit off on the musicality around the step sequence and pony leaps, sorry I just love this piece so much I need him to do it perfect. I love the boys number, the movements, style, the unique arrangement near the end (domino effect) and pretty good for being their first night performing together.

Will the show be on NBC or NBCSN?
