Nathan Chen

Just came here to say, that some posts on these boards are living proof of how apparently many people don’t actually watch Nathan or choose to only see what they want to see, based on their preconceived notions (Never mind the constant glorifying of the past, and this is me putting it nicely…)

I’ll just leave this here:

Oh and while I’m at it, for those interested, also this collection of clips featuring only those long, tedious jump set-ups, from accelerating to take-off (Which I’m gathering are an indicator of a boring jumpfest. Oh and: Damn those quads, right, that’s what started it):

This seems awfully short notice... they're not even selling tickets yet??

Kinda bummed Nathan is the first guest skater...
On one hand, it’s very short notice for anyone wants to see him in person. On the other hand, we’ll get to see his programs a lot sooner, provided someone will be there to record. That being said, just a couple weeks ago he was asking for suggestions for his long program. I’m wondering if that was just in jest. I can’t imagine if he was still trying to figure out his FS at that time that he‘d be ready to show it on July 3.

Even though places are opening up now Sun Valley is a very remote location and difficult for guests to visit on such short notice. At least there's the webcam but hopefully someone can upload it to Youtube.

Assuming he doesn't have his FS ready he could do the SP and a NEW EX.

Ticket sales have begun. From what I could gather they are selling socially distanced "pods" instead of individual seats, so you have to buy out an entire pod. A 2 person bleacher pod is $219. A 6 person terrace pod/table is $942.

Given the extremely short notice, I hope there's still enough time for the event to sell out.

ETA: I guess the organizers wanted Nathan to skate in the first event (unless he chose to do so himself) because they knew he is the only one (maybe apart from Jason but he's in Canada which makes it harder) that could sell the event out on short notice. All tickets are pretty much sold out now after less than 24 hours. Looks like there are only 3 tickets (pods) left at this point.

Nathan’s Sun Valley Show is sold out! Pretty quick on short notice. I’m thinking that maybe we’ll get the new SP plus another number, though whether the latter will be new or not is anyone’s guess.

It's only a 2 hr direct flight from LAX to Vancouver if I recall correctly (it's been a while since I've been) + no time change.
