So lucky!!!
Regarding the 4Lo messing up some of the other jumps, I do wonder about it. During the final run-through practice for the free, he had a little bit of a rough landing on the 4Lo but totally nailed the 4Lz and 4S. Then during the competition, he was great on the 4Lo but missed both the 4Lz and 4S. That's rough. It can't be easy at all trying to maintain all 5 types of quads at the same time, yikes. With that said, I'm cheering for whatever Nathan wants most. Like, I'm sure that if this was simply about winning, he would go back to what has worked for him in the past. I just think that, for him, this season may be more about putting everything he has out on the ice so he doesn't regret never having gone for his highest ceiling. Not saying he doesn't want to win gold, only that this is really important to him too, and if he can win gold with a six quad program then great, and if not, then he can live with just what he has already achieved so far in his career. I recall him saying that even if he doesn't win gold in Beijing, he's already proud of what he has done so far. We'll have to see what he decides to do at Skate Canada. Anyone want to make bets? Lol.
