Notte Stellata | Mar 7-9, 2025

Details of the open rehearsals have been announced. Dates: 8 and 9 March, i.e. days 2 and 3, at noon. :)

So, there will be two Open Practices, like last year. It looks like a clever way of gathering more funds for the reconstruction after the Great Eastern Earthquake, at very little additional cost, while allowing the public to see Yuzuru Hanyu practising, and to know better other skaters too.
I wonder if there will be some streaming.

I seem to recall there was some streaming last year, was it? But I cannot remember the details, if it was online or TV? Anyway, if it was there and rehearsals are open to the public again, then I guess there are good chances they will be streamed, too, which would be awesome. I love the informal feeling they give.

I think there was, because we had snippets that were not from TV News.

So we have an official announcement that a livestream will be there but details will be disclosed at a later date!
Fingers crossed for the stream to be available from abroad this time !!!!:pray::pray::pray:

Now I remember, the livestream was on Hulu, so it was only in Japan...

That's right! There was also one for China allowed on the last day only, just before the show.... It was run by the same Great Sports Media from Shanghai which has been streaming Echoes now. Still, it makes the Chinese stream more likely, which is great, but not necessarily brings us closer to the rest-of-the-world one, unfortunately. Well, we have to wait and see...:pray:

Ah yes, the two last days maybe? And it had been announced just the day before, and still gathered hundreds of thousands of Cfanyus?

I think it was only for the last day but of course I might be wrong. I remember Jason skating his second program in the second part, after the break, and circling the rink jubilantly after the program ended, with such happy, triumphant and over-the-moon expression on his face, that it was striking even as for Jason... I remember I thought then that maybe, just maybe the skaters were told the size of the online audience during the break backstage and that's why he was so elated knowing he had just performed for the largest paid figure skating live stream, I think, ever at that point (it was even bigger for Echoes but it came only 9 months later).

And here's an official announcement from Notte Stellata IG that the lottery entry period for JTB packages including accommodation and rehearsal tickets (the latter as an option) started today. Applications are accepted until February 1, JST 3 pm. Check the show's website for details.

They may attract more people than usual this year, with this announcement by the organisers of a disaster preparedness conference in Sendai at the same dates, that with Notte Stellata there will be very little accommodation left... I wonder if some ticket winners without accommodation won't resort (without pun) to seek accommodation in the ski resorts in the mountains near Sendai, or to sleeping on the Tohoku Shinkansen route and try to catch the last train after the show...
