Notte Stellata | Mar 7-9, 2025

Another great review from ninomiyasports of Mansai and Yuzuru's collab in Bolero, described here as the "Mystery of the In-Between" :love2:

And BTW, just a little reminder that 2nd part of the Mansai - Yuzu talk on Mansai's talkshow on NHK Radio 1, the one to be focused on the Seimei collaboration, is to be aired tomorrow, right? Can't wait for this feast again.

It took a while but we have a full and wonderful translation of Nomura-san and Yuzuru talking about all things Notte Stellata on Nomura-san radio show that Yuzu was a guest of twice. The first time it was all about Bolero, and the similarities between Noh and Kyogen traditional Japanese theatre and figure skating a la Yuzuru Hanyu.
This is a fascinating conversation between two masters of their respective art diving deep into the culture they share. Great stuff!
Thank you pep_on for making this translation available!!!!! :thank::thank::thank::thank::thank::thank::thank:

Thanks so much! I’ve really been looking forward to reading this.:love:

And here comes translation of the second episode of Yuzuru on Nomura-san radio talk show. This time they discussed their Seimei collaboration while looking back on their earlier separate takes on it, discussing Ravel and his Bolero again and how its repetitive rhythm fitted their aim, and exchanging views on expression in performance. Fascinating to be able to witness these grandmasters sharing secrets of their trades!!!!
Thank you pep_on again for making it available in English for everyone!!!! :thank::thank::thank::thank::thank::thank:

Nippon TV has announced a new Yuzuru-Nomura video to be uploaded on their YouTube channel on May 18, at noon !! Could it be the official program video so many people are waiting for?

I couldn't reproach them to "milk" this show in terms of views, and I'm pleased and grateful for being teased this way!

MISIA whose Song of Hope is the traditional finale of Notte Stellata shows has given a concert in Sekkisui Heim arena in Rifu, Miyagi, in Tohoku, the same venue where the show is held each year. Yuzuru sent her beautiful flowers in the colours of spring (and his costume used for Song of Hope finale). :)

Here's some insight into the background of MISIA's Song of Hope which Yuzuru and co. selected as the traditional soundtrack music for Notte Stellata shows final.
Originally planned as an anti-war song in response to the invasion of Ukraine, it ended up as a piece dedicated to all refugees who had to leave their homes as a result of this war, and all the other wars.
Yuzu is so good and so mature in finding and spreading meanings and messages :clap::bow::clap::bow::clap:

And here's the whole final

An almost whole-page report from a trip to the Notte Stellata show and in search of the Great Earthquake memorials/memories in the area of Sendai, Miyabi, has been published by the main English-language newspaper of Malaysia. Here it comes shared by the author :)
Thank you :thank::thank:

Notte Stellata 2025 still hot on Japanese TV!
Day 1 show was broadcast yesterday, Day 2 will be aired on Saturday June 28, and Day 3 (final) will be aired on July 5 (just to coincide with The First Skate show in Sendai on that date, which may be expected to get on the news, of course, and boost Yuzuru's media presence and the public's interest in him, always high, even higher, on this very date)

Nittele Plus TV, all broadcasts as late night Saturday shows! Enjoy if you have access!

Thank you, I had completely forgotten this broadcast of Day 1!

Thank you! Although they're whole programs, I'm not too afraid of their being reported, as those reporting, even posts without copyright infringement, are toxic antis, obsessed by Yuzuru Hanyu alone.
Alas, obsessions and toxicities are a curse of any great star, aren't they? I choose to think that many of those antis are in fact fans in disguise, unable to praise openly, so disguising their admiration in all sorts of obsessive and toxic behaviour. Or simple trolls really, ready to hurt and destroy for kicks, sometimes deceiving themselves to believe that it somehow helps them, or their "faves", or puts them in a better light, if they can hurt, diminish or get rid of those better, or more successful.
Funny enough, Yuzu just spoke to it recently in this article that was published in Bungeishunju :
"Similarly, if you have done the work of "knowing yourself" properly and have a clear idea of what you want to do, you should not be too bothered by public evaluations or slander on social media. In this world where the waves come and go in an instant, there is no need for me to be swayed or shaken by them. If I ever find myself with time to waver, I'll use it instead to keep striving to give performances that truly move the hearts of those who watch me - that's the resolve I made in my heart."
Zen Zuzu!
