I do not think that the international judges are bending over backward to give everything to Slutskaya this year. Although she is still the favorite, she will have to skate for it like everyone else.
Conspiracy theories? Cultural bias? Here is the panel of judges, by nationality, for the ladies’ event:
USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary
Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia
Alternate: Japan.
Not exactly a Slutskaya panel.

If the list is for amusement purposes, you left out Azerbaijan.![]()

They just scream publicly when the deals don't go their way. And Canadians don't like Americans. The media support for the Canadian team that was robbed in SLC would ahve never happened if the Olympics were in Canada and it was an American team. The Canucks don't support US skaters just b/c they are from NA.

Maybe but I think the US judge will be marking Cohen higher who happens to be more of a favorite for this event. Kwan should be battling it out for a bronze but didn't you realize this? Slutskaya is numero uno for this event. Not even a hunch.slutskayafan21 said:The U.S judge is probably the only judge that will have Kwan higher than Slutskaya in scoring. Just a hunch.
Well, my hunch is US judge will mark Cohen higher than Irina, let Kwan battle it out herself. The same way he/she did at SLC's LP.slutskayafan21 said:The U.S judge is probably the only judge that will have Kwan higher than Slutskaya in scoring. Just a hunch.
I just intercepted a message from the Australian Figure Skating Federation to the USFSA. Decoded, it said,slutskayafan21 said:The U.S judge is probably the only judge that will have Kwan higher than Slutskaya in scoring. Just a hunch.
It is not a complete stretch to consider Michelle winning a gold b/c we DEFINATELY have seen stranger things happen, like at the last Olympics where Michelle was placed third behind Irina (stupid American Judge LOL) and Sarah actually winning the gold. So don't count her out. As long as she's there and healthy, she can win. All I know is that Michelle is a beautiful, consistent skater who will live in skating history as not many others do (no one at this Olympics compares even if they win the Gold). I can't wait untill I leave on February 17. AB
