Technically;

Mao always did +2Lo+2Lo, and fan spiral (also Sasha Cohen's)

Shoma does +1Lo+3F

Irina Slutskaya's double Biellmann, and her +Lo jumps

(Does one-foot step sequence count?)

Sui/Han's spread eagle entry to their lift

Savchenko/Massot's one-hand lift entry

Cappellini and Lanotte's lifts https://youtu.be/FhRC2ndGvFk?t=1m13s and https://youtu.be/TlG584wV680?t=4m32s (I really like this one, it looks like Anna is floating:love:)

Pretty much many of Virtue/Moir's lifts

Artistically;

Carolina's SP last season

Virtue and Moir's Carmen is one of the most exciting and dramatic

(and perhaps Mid-program costume change?)

Abott was one of the first men who would do a jump in the MIDDLE of his footwork sequence. I don't know if he was the first to do this (in IJS), but he was definitely someone who did it beautifully.

I find Sotnikova's spin a good example of originality. At least I have never seen that spin before. :think:

Yeah I always liked that. It may have inspired Tarakanova to do the same position. Anastasia’s throws it into a combination which seems kinda crazy and even sort of finds a way to make the butt spin look a little different than most others. To me though the way she hits the positions on each musical accent really gives it a little something extra. She is dialed in!

Plushy's early exhibition programs...whether he was wearing a crazy fluro hat with neon shirt, or a huge paper mache clown head, or a suit that turned into a dress or the Sex Bomb outfit you can't say he wasn't original with them! :rofl:

Also there's a junior skater from New Zealand called Harrison Bain - unfortunately he hasn't got the jumps, but he has the most amazing spins! Like seriously! My jaw was on the floor. Stephane would applaud!

So much of what Ilia Klimkin did was highly original:

particularly, the reversing camel spin into a deathdrop sort of camel spin into 3s! in this program.

Delobel & Schoenfelder's creative presentations of CDs,. The steps were all required, the music was prescribed, and yet they managed to have an original take on them.

Pechalat & Bourzat had some clever changes of costume which was a real innovation at the time. (check the ending)

This Gary chap is very intriguing fellow! He's literally got skates on his hands!!

That first link posted by Mussique sure was bizarre though...how did he breathe through that thing?!

Hey, the other Ilia K! What ever happened to that guy?

OMG, costume changes are my favourite thing ever! We need more of that!

Those were great! You can always depend on the French to bring something special to the table! Also, how good are their twizzles?
