P D James Mystery on PBS

Are there any fans of the Mystery (PBS) movies based on P.D. James' works? My favorite is "Shroud for A Nightingale". "Death in Holy Orders" that wrapped up last night is also very good but I miss Roy Marsden as Commander Adam Dalgliesh. Does anyone else prefer him to Martin Shaw, the new Dalgliesh?

I didn't get to see the second episode on Sunday. I will have to pick it up on late night. I also liked Roy Marsden. I haven't seen this new one enough to really have an opinion though.

My real complaint is with P.D. James. She makes Dalgliesh so deathly sad. There is just no let up. Can't he enjoy or chuckle at anything? It's very frustrating.
