2025 JGP Baku Women's Short Program

I enjoyed Yuseong's skate very much. I love the spread eagle-Ina Bauer-2A so much. Fights to get free leg back after the 3F-3T, but stays on her feet. So many standout moments in the step sequence: the Ina Bauer in a circle, the backwards lunge, the later forwards lunge and Ina Bauer to final spin. Season's best for her.

Yuseong brought Clair de Lune back to focus on being clean, didn't work out today though (deep sigh) last season Yuseong thrived while Yujae struggled, this season it seems like the reverse so far, my girls why can't you two both thrive :tantrum:

I have no idea how I'm going to manage three competitions at once, in the wee hours of the night at that, but I have to because Team Korea is everywhere :drama: I may or may not find the headspace to comment on the threads but if I do so, see you there

Maybe that's their system: one year I work hard and you rest, next year you work hard and I rest and parents always have some success to be happy about. Twins are good at stuff like this.

Incredible result for Sonya. Of course it is a relatively weak field, but without checking past scores I imagine this is the best SP score of her career. Inga must be cursing her luck

omg Sofia is so tiny! (and looks like a little Elsa)

Sofia NEKRASSOVA (EST) is one of the skaters I am pretty familiar with, having watched a lot of Estonian competitions in recent years (because they have free streams!)

But, because I am used to seeing her amongst novice skaters, I hadn't realised she was quite as tiny as she is.

And the fact that the skater on before her, Sara ZOFREA BRAVO (PER), is very tall, it just emphasised it. It was unbelievable seeing them go past each other during the Warm-Up.

Looking forward to seeing her on the international scene.

Mayuko won PCS by far and got mid 7s even with evident mistakes which is very high for juniors even when flawless. I'm happy judges seem to love and appreciate this brilliant program.

Peeked at the results and like... what storm hit the Japanese fleet in the Caspian Sea? Is the arena non-standard?
