Yes, it's getting on my nerves. I totally missed Bryce's jump.
Congrats to them, it was so pretty and very well deserved.

Is S&S really 3 points better than D&D in pcs? I thought it was D&D's best performance, and S&S wasn't exactly ON.

I sadly missed both performances (getting a clean feed now) but I would personally think so. I don't think D/D have the excitement to make Galicia work, and Asoka has been stunning every time I've seen it, even with mistakes.

Go Mukhortova & Trankov!!

I was very impressed by that young Chinese #3 couple. I thought they looked quite polished and speedy, moreso than Zhang/Zhang a lot of the time! Their spins were even mostly in sync. I also liked their death spiral.

Meanwhile, Dube/Davison were just gorgeous! One of the best, if not the very best, SP of the season IMO. They use the same music that Kimmie Meissner skated to last year for her LP. I loved their straight-line footwork that really matched the music as well as their final pairs spin - so fast with reat positions and not awkward at all! They seem really well trained and confident. I hope they can somehow push Zhang/Zhang off the podium and not Pang/Tong, but we'll see how consistent they can be in the free.

Agree about the cameras, completely missed Bryce during the SBS.

No, the Germans are overrated and overscored. Dube/Davison actually feel the music and create romance, sex appeal. They have great chemistry on the ice.

Go M/T!!!

I guess I'm one of the only people who don't "get" D/D...oh well.

Mukhortova/Trankov
Otonal
PInk on her, pink and black on him

Nice 3Twist, soft landing
SBS 3T, she has a wild landing
Lasso lift, nice
Death spiral, good
SBS spins, inventive and in sync, TAT seems happy
Pairs spin, speed maintained
Steps, mirrored and nicely done
Throw 3R, nice!
Nice ending pose.

Hope they're within striking distance.

Whoo, M/T were great! Lots of speed and clean all the way through. I love their pairs spin because he is so flexible and can hit beautiful positions. Great musical selections this year for their SP and LP.

Back to D/D, I hope they can learn the triple twist for next season. M/T had a very high one in this program.

As a fan of both S/S and D/D, I definitely agree with the placements right now. S/S are a more consistent team and they attempt more difficulty than D/D. Presentation-wise, I think both teams are very strong. I prefer S/S's SP over D/D's SP, but in the LP, I much prefer D/D's program. I really don't like S/S's LP music, but I definitely think they have what it takes to win here and deservedly so if they are clean!

64.09 = a new SB! I think they should be happy with that, shouldn't have expected any more.

I mean, I don't hate S/S. I think they're a hell of a lot more interesting than Z/Z and if it's between those two teams for Gold - and it probably is - I am in the German camp. But I still feel like a lot of their movements are contrived and they only think about points, numbers, CoP rules, blah. Whereas D/D's skating is more pure and works under any system of judging.

But I also have a problem with S/S's LP music. It never builds or creates excitement. I often have a problem with Cirque du Soleil programs like theirs.
