Pick the music for your favorites

This could actually work... and would be perfectly timed for the Twin Peaks reboot in 2016!
I totally agree with you and nieves about the Twin Peaks idea, it would be incredible this season or next season. Badalamenti's score would be an amazing backdrop to a themed routine. G/P would indeed have the character and I'd love to have Zhiganshina and Gazsi do a routine to it but sadly not to be.

I'd also love to see one of the ladies embrace rock in the next couple of years given the sparsity of such routines in the ladies' ranks. Maybe it's all to do with the idea that for most the ladies must be feminine and graceful and rock doesn't fit in with that. Perhaps a compromise in the form of a rock tune covered well, keeping the spirit of the original but in a slightly different style would work. I have visions of Elena or Ashley doing well with this version of Stairway To Heaven by Rodrigo y Gabriela:

Yulia "Twin Peaks" and I&Z Talking Heads "Once In A Lifetime". If not in competition, which would be hard for Twin Peaks, at least a Gala program.

I know this is an old thread by now, BUT:

Is it weird that I can picture Lorraine McNamara and Quinn Carpenter doing an exhibition to "Ghostbusters?"

I'd like Plushy, Brian, Tomas and Stephane to do a group number to Men in Black. :)

Or Ghostbusters might be fun as well.:)

Interesting choice - I think among ladies perhaps Rika, Courtney and Anna might be able to do something with it as well?

I can see that too. The song definitely calls for a vibrant and lively skater.

I'd love to see Karen Chen skate to the Titanic theme. Not the weird pop remix version Elena's doing, but the original "Hymn to the Sea" with some of My Heart Will Go On sprinkled in there.

I'd also love to see a pairs or dance team skate to music from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame!

I'm going to copy and paste what I posted in a thread similar to this in FSU:

I would love to see Gilles/Poirier, McNamara/Carpenter, or any ice dance team that are awesomely kooky to do a FD to a mix of "Pure Imagination" and "The Candy Man" from "Willy Wonka Jr." Which is the more kid-friendly version of the musical "Willy Wonka" based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Like one could be dressed up as Willy Wonka and the other dressed in an abstract outfit to resemble a candy bar and perhaps a golden ticket wrapped around it. And yes I came up with the idea of a FD mix to it last night.

I listened to Bon Jovi yesterday, and I dreamed:What if IZ will take "Always" or "Bed of Roses" to Gala? Probably it's hard choice because it's not easy to cut those songs, and adapt to skating format, but I think it would be great for them.

I want to see Yuzu skate to Tango De Roxanne. Moulin Rouge version. The gold medal can be his Roxanne, and he can channel Christian. He's so expressive and this would let him be sultry and passionate and angry. Plus I've been dying to see him do something Spanish-like. Feisty.

Or Shoma could do it. But I think Yuzu would put more face into it.

It'd be nice if an ice dance or pairs team did it, but unfortunately I can't think of any super strong leading men when it comes to those disciplines.. Men who will give just as much face or more than the woman. We all know Madison can sell it but Evan as a jealously mad man? Ha. I think maybe a pairs team would have more interesting men.

Adelina-Lord of the dance. She should do these steps very well.

I am a fan of K/S's Manfred Symphony. Yuko's delicacy, Sasha's emotion, power, and Tamara's creative choreography made this magic happen.

For their next program, Poet and Peasant by Suppe can be an interesting choice: it is grand and dramatic but more tuned into comedy.
This song has been engraved on my memory since my childhood when I picked it up from Looney Tunes. I want to see dance/pair couples skate to it. I can only imagine the dramatic crescendo part will be perfect for a lift or a throw.

Mads and Evan need to change their pretty-but-bland Rach 2 for their exhibition number. I'd love to see Beyonce's music win the world championships in Boston.
