iirc Gubanova has said in live video/ig that she was indeed moving up. She could get CoR host pick i think. And do CS event. It will be hard for her to make the senior team but who knows... Zagi vs Med vs Tsurskaya vs Gubanova vs Sotksova vs Radio vs Konstantinova for 3 spot.

It's perfectly justified if Eteri says she didn't like Brians comments, or answers with any form of reasonable adult arguments. But complete and childish nonsense like "It seems our success hurts him so we must train even harder to hurt him even more" is just... what the actually freaking what? I had to read that 3 times before I believed my eyes. There is a big difference between defending your skaters and acting like a 5-year old who got told her plush toy isn't the prettiest on the playground.
(And while I didn't like Brians original comment - or what it appeared to be - either, I'd hardly call it "rude" to wonder if she'll be able to still land quads in seniors.)
Also, how do you know "concerned" is just a front? Is it for everyone or just Orser? Is it such an unbelievable concept that people might wonder how the bodies of still growing young girls will deal with a kind of strain and pressure never applied to female bodies before by not just practicing quads, but several types, and that with what appears to be a bigger 'work load' then elsewhere too? Is it so unreasonable that after we had other students of Eteri suffering health issues that seem to be related to overtraining or not taking injuries serious enough (most apparent example: Adian), people are concerned for young girls in the same environment doing what they do? We shouldn't condemn Eteri for something that hasn't happened yet - Sasha &Co are healthy (and hopefully will stay healthy), so taking the pitchforks and chasing her round the village for 'ruining' them is ridiculous too. But just voicing concerns is normal
And if Brian was apparently so irked with Sashas quads, he could actually advocate for a higher age limit. But he isn't.
It wouldn't bug her so much if there wasn't a grain of truth in it..... just saying.... making a mountain out of a mole hill...

A++ post, thank you! This is really at the crux of the issue -- the health of young girls -- not the eternal kindergarden "who did what" game. :disagree:
Also, loving the subtle shade thrown by Polina at Eteri's training methods. Very subtle.

She said earlier that she is moving to seniors, she should get two GP spots and Eteri needs another senior girl for 2018-2019 like air.
But the very fact that people continuously forget she exists says a lot about her current position and prospects. She needs a complete revamping of her image and presentation to get anywhere. Plus she was not all that consistent in the past season, unlike in 2016-2017, and she doesn't have 'wow' elements like 3Lo combos.

I recognize that hairstyle: a sign of lots of hard work after finishing a successful on-ice practice session.
Love her and sincerely wish her the best in her new training environment. Remember in 2016 when we all thought Polina would be the one on the top of the Olympic podium? I hope her health remains well for this upcoming new quad.

Also... good lord, Eteri has said quite a lot of foot-in-mouth comments to the press as of late. I’m not quite sure this will benefit her in any way. 
It’s sad that her departing skaters, all of whom are under the age of 20, seem to have a better sense of how to generate positive attitudes via public relations.

Actually I was wondering about that too. All of her students, at least I don't remember any, were very well educated of how to behave, what to say on cameras, interviews. How to behave with each other. Never seen a moment of something bad during competitions, trainings to respect the other competitors. Even when Alina was manipulated by this RT journalist about Ashley, still staied classy. The sence i'm getting is they have been teached so, by her team like an attitude to aproach sports. Maybe it's general Sambo thing. But when it comes to Eteri she just swithces off.
Anyway. Good luck to Polina. I'm eager to see those flying lutzes and axels, delayed loops ... new choreo and how she will develop.

I like her coaching but I don't agree with all her actions
I like Eteri.
Her coaching is great, and I don't think her actions are that outstanding in FS world.
I mean, all the dirty stuff we have seen, sexual harassment, skaters accusing their coaches of lying in interviews, money issues and so on. What Eteri does is pretty innocent really.

I would say she's a highly flawed but quite fascinating personality. I couldn't imagine skating without her, but I also feel sorry for those who have been negatively affected by her training methods & narcissism. Like her in some ways and dislike in others, because people are complicated. She's not the only one like that.
Am i the only one who likes eteris fashion sense.
