Maybe make them all skate to carmen and do the same elements and footwork?!

Sounds similar to my suggestion that they have a list of songs with similar tempos that are chosen by the "committee" and pick one of them for their SP. Then we can't blame the skaters team for the choice and they have to make it to the LP to "earn the opportunity" to use music of their own choice. I am OK with the idea myself.
