russell30, you don`t understand. Polina hasn`t got the coach almost all last month. The fede didn`t give her the coach instead Victoria and it was impossible to do.
If the skaters can train themselfs the coaches wouldn`t be needed.
Too bad for Polina, but at least the qualification score doesn't count, hope she skates as good as she did in euros.
By the way what happened to viktoria pavuk??i remember she was good in some european championships many years ago and now she's in last place!

I am really worried about her. If she didn't have a coach for so long(1 month?), then her situation won't get much better in 1 or 2 days. So unlucky. She is only 15.
Volchkova borned her son on 10 March. The 8 days after she must be in the hospital ( It`s the rule in Russia). And before the 10 March at least the week ( or two) she couldn`t be at the rink.
Ther is no the assistant coach as I know.
That is why I worred all last time about Polina`s training prosses.
There are too many the young stars in Russia now. So none of them is especially valued.
Not this - then that.
If it true, this is so wrong! Why can't Russian fed assign someone to prepare Polina for world and be with her at the comp? This is really bad management and waste of opportunities for both Polina and Russian fed!
It's best not to fire on all cylinders in the qualies; just do enough to qualify and save your energy and exuberance for the real thing. None of the scores in this phase really matter in the long run.
