Until we find out who La Gougne was conspiring with under orders from her French Fed. this case remains open. There are only the specs of the anticonspiracy theorists who make up their own theories.
And there is nothing sacred in what Speedy did. A judge could still work in accord with his/her Head of Federation and with Speedy's tactic of keeping the public from knowing who scored what, conspiracies still continue.
The draw on who's judging is a step to honesty but it is not fool proof. Since judges change between SPs and LPs, much can go on. If some judge is out to get a favorite on the podium, there is plenty of opportunity.
