Project Runway--Anyone Watching???

It's almost 1/2 over. I just love this show. I was shocked last week when Kit got the boot but it seemed like she didn't really understand the challenge. I'm swaying back and forth on the final 3. At first I thought Rami was a shoe in but not so sure at this stage. I think the 2 who I think may be shoe in's are Christian and Jillian.

I love Chris!!!! I don't know how far he'll go but I do love him. I don't know for some reason he reminds me of Mathman, not that I know how Math is but I guess what I think I would want him to be like.

I loooooove PR!!!

My money is on Rami, Jillian, and Christian as a Final 3. IMO, they are the most talented designers this season, even when you consider Rami's bad attitude and weak design in the last challenge.

Any guesses about what is behind the Port Authority door for tonight episode?

I was thinking along the lines of trash but didn't they already do an episode with using recylcled material??

How about making new uniforms for the Port Authority out of old uniforms.

I think it would be super awesome if Chris won-- especially after having been eliminated. He certainly is the personality of the group. I worry that Rami is a one-trick pony, though I do like his designs. I find Christian slightly less irritating than I did at first, and I have to admit that he's good.

christian is SO talented...those jeans were really innovative...but he's so annoying...he was like a bratty little kid last night! sweetpea might be the surprise in the final 3 this year...the judges really seem to like her stuff.

Yes poor Christian is like a spoiled brat. He needs to be shaken up again like when he was in the bottom 2.

I am surprised that Sweet P is still in. She seems to get rattled easy but has had the judges in her favor in the last 2 comps.

I was a little surprised at Chris when Tim said that his dress was just so-so. Chris' comment was....I like it. I guess I thought he would take Tim's word to mean, it's not going to please the judges but Chris didn't do anything else to it.. Just kind of surprised me.

Victorya was another person who just wasn't receptive to constructive criticsm.

Wow!! I can't believe Victorya is auf. I wasn't her biggest fan, but I thought she would be challenging for the top few spots!!

The lack of accepting constructive criticism (from Tim Gunn nonetheless -- not only does he have great taste, but he has been around every season to see how the judges react to things, etc.) by the competitors this season has been surprising. Rami last week, Chris this week (and that dress looked, to me, a lot like the "French maid" outfit from the weight loss challenge, which but him in the bottom of the bunch), Christian and Victorya repeatedly.

I can't believe that either Ricky or Sweet P is still around -- neither seems up to par talent-wise with the rest of the bunch. It will be interesting to see if either of them makes it Bryant Park.

I don't know if you watched Big Brother last summer but there was a cry--er on that show too and it really gets under your skin after a while.

I think Ricky has some really strong credentials but it seems he lacks in self confidence. I wonder why?? I'm wondering if last night's win will bolster his ego and show what he's really made out of. As Michael Korr said you never get over the roller coaster effect.

I'm pulling for my favorites...Chris, Christian and Sweet Pea.. Although, I have a feeling the final three will be Rami, Jullian and Christian.. I'm glad to see Victoria gone...she was a bi**h! Also, I am SO sick of "cry me a river" Ricky! His designs are all the same... Rami, is very talented, but he is way too caught up into himself. I didn't like the way he treated Sweet Pea last episode. He was down right MEAN to her! It's always the "his way" attidtude with him.. Chris, is such a great guy and tries to keep the peace. Christian, is a suck-up, nelly little Queen...BUT...he so talented.. I bet he would be fun to hang with..LOL I find Jullian also very talented.. It's been a fun season and I enjoyed the Hershey challenge the best so far...

I really don't get why Rami got so obsessed with draping during the show. Yes, he does it really, really well. Clearly, it is a signature of his. But if you look at any of his non-PR work (his website, for example; there is also a video of his Spring 2007? collection on the Tyra Banks show out in YouTube land), the draping isn't overwhelmingly there, but the incredible construction and design skills are!! I hope he makes it to Bryant Park, just to see what he puts out for a collection. Same with Jillian and Christain (which is part of why I think they'll all be there -- along with their own construction and design skills).

Besides, I think Christian has made just as many puffy-sleeved shirts/jackets as Rami has draped pieces, and I don't see him getting in trouble for it. For that matter, Jillian also has a very clear point of view as a designer (so clear she even dresses like she designs!!). All of them are liable to be labeled one-notes if they aren't careful.

And just so that no one thinks I'm an excessive Rami-fan/troll, I think Rami, in addition to showing non-draping mad-constructio skills, needs to be more careful with his color/fabric selection to avoid the label "matronly." :agree:

the designers should absolutely ALWAYS listen to tim gunn! i really liked chris'; dress...but tim was right...the fraying on the one seam was distracting and took away from the little black dress" effect. rumor has it (another message board) that vyctoria(sp?) was so mad at being aufed that she stormed off the set and had to be made to return and finish the episode...and that some of the aufed designers were given the opportunity to show a few pieces at bryant park, but vyctoria was so mad she refused. my apologies to vyctoria if this is not true...i guess we'll know at the reunion show!

Actually, I felt sorry for Rami, I thought Sweet P showed what a scatter brain she is. He asked a legit question... how long will it take you to finish the garment? Sweet P couldn't give him a straight answer. At this level of competition she should have been able to answer that. I would have been as frustrated with her as he was. In Sweet P's defense, I do think Rami should have listened a little more to her ideas. I think he got the message though when he ended in the bottom 2.

^^^ Agreed. One thing to be emotional -- especially when you're overtired (I certainly know I am), but to cry that much just seems out of control. He has totally been turned into a characature of himself in this

Ranjanke -- I heard the same thing about Victorya on another board. I wonder if it is true. She certainly looked completely over it enough at the final "auf"ing to be refilming it in a way fit for TV -- and in line with the character she had shown throughout the competition!! Did you hear that she is showing in a seperate show at Fashion Week about a week before the main PR show?!? While I didn't really care for her aesthetic (I don't think we get enough of the whole person on these shows to really judge the personality, but what was shown I didn't really care for), but still say good for her for being able to show without the PR backing. I'm looking forward to getting more information about all these Fashion Week goings on as we get closer and closer to it!!

A little more?? LOL He didn't listen to her at all! I do agree that Rami, Christian and Julian should be the three that make it to Bryant Park.. based on what we have seen on the show outside of their impressive credentials...

Sweet Pea has done well the last couple of episodes. I really liked her every day look during the Avant Garde epi. I didn't love the denim as much as the judges, but it was enough to keep her around for me.

I also noticed that Rami put his arm around Sweet Pea's shoulders while they were walking out to go to the Port Authority.

I hope this show doesn't lose its creative edge by becoming too brand oriented. Other than Rami using the zippers and Christian using sleeves for legs, I didn't think that the designers were the creative in transforming the garment.
