Project Runway--Anyone Watching???

Sweet Pea has done well the last couple of episodes. I really liked her every day look during the Avant Garde epi. I didn't love the denim as much as the judges, but it was enough to keep her around for me.

I was surprised myself that the judeges fell all over the demin dress. The right and left sides were not the same... i do not know if it was "supposed" to look like that.... it looked very simple. I thought that the judges would jump all over her.

Are we allowed spoilers? Because if so, the rumored final three are Jillian, Christian, and Chris, with Rami in fourth (which is fair, as he does tend to one-note aesthetic plus he's also a ringer--an established designer who already has his own line.) I am kind of wondering if Ricky got the win this time as a kissoff before being kicked to the curb.

As for Rami being creative using zippers? Uh, Jeffery (last season's winner) already did that. Plus a designer in the 1980s, actually. And while Christian's look, in spite of the puffed sleeves, was decent, I had to laugh at the judges finding it remotely wearable. If the woman's "fit"? Try "if she's anorexic." He doesn't design for human bodies, he designs for model bodies. I'll take Sweet P's "slimming voodoo" any day. Victorya had a similar problem, from what I saw, with hating a natural female figure--though unlike Christian, she went for tent outlines and squashing the breasts. Those were the two where, with the challeneges that didn't use models, you could really see the revulsion at having to design for a normal human. I miss Kevin in that respect, and Rami at least is not terrified of shape, even if he has a weird habit of wanting to drape it in fabric. Honestly, some of it is very pretty, but sometimes it's just...dude, less is more!

juliet-wow! interesting spoilers!

i also didn't like rami's zippers...they reminded me of roller-rink clothes with 80's big hair type fashion!

i really wonder about the finale...are they having 3 designers show with one as the fake, to throw people off? i think that's what they have done in the past-except last season when there was a final 4 rather than a final three.

i think i had heard the rumor that vyctoria is showing her clothes separately- but there are so many rumors now, i'm getting confused!

I think that Christian acts like a spoiled kid == don't like him personally, but he can design clothes == Rami is to into himself - I like Chris he's good (all artist talk to themselves) = when they had the Hersey challenge = Jillian took the biggest risk with the red licorice and did a really good job- I liked the outfit = I hope Chris and Jillian are two of the finalist and I think Christian should be there = he is good

I just meant that Rami utilized the zippers from the material, instead of just using the Denim. Otherwise, it was a very 80's look to me.

As for Christian's outfit, I didn't even feel it was that flattering to the model. The jacket rode up and the lighter colored tee shirt underneath just seemed to emphasize her stomach and make it look like she had a stomach where there wasn't one. The width was too large and emphasized the stomach instead of the waist.

Sweet Pea's outfit was misaligned on the bodice and skirt if you looked closely. I didn't have an issue with the darker panels at the waist, but didn't like the inserts on the hem.

I love PR. I started watching it about halfway throught season 2. I was flipping through the channels & saw Sasha Cohen on the show & watched to see what it was all about.

I'm glad Victoria is gone. I didn't like her or her clothes. She deserved to go.
Christian is really annoying. I loved Chris's comment last week about giving him a bottle & sending him to bed.

I would love to see Chris go to Bryant Park, but I think the 3 will probably be Rami, Jillian, & Christian.

no new PR this week? not until feb 6th? this is gonna ruin my week! i read in the paper today that the bryant park fashion shows start february 8th? anyone know if this is true?

Yikes! The company I work for owns Calvin Klein, which puts on a show at Bryant Park. I didn't realize the show was this week! No wonder I'm not getting any feedback from people in those offices.

My co-worker's daughter got to go to last season's Project Runway show. She got the swag and went to the after party. At the party, she met Sam from Top Chef season 2 (he was in the final 4) and he asked her out on a date. BTW, she did accept the date, but she wasn't really into him. She also tried out for So You Think You Can Dance and got as far as Vegas week last season.

Is it Wednesday yet?!? I'm in major need of PR fix after that week off (and the memories of the denim episode still fresh in my head . . . )!!!

I'm really excited to hear how the rest of this plays out . . . I've read a lot of the same spoilers as others here (and every combination of Chris, Christian, Jillian, Rami with at least one being a decoy -- and sometimes losing track of what are spoilers, what are foilers, and what are pure speculation!), but I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

Has anyone else seen the pictures from Victorya's show on Friday? Here's a link for anyone who's interested. Na-be by Victorya Hong I have to admit that I wasn't overly impressed. I'm of an age where I remember the 80s, but was young enough to blame any style decisions on my parents!!!  I just don't think they need to come back as strongly as some would like.

So, it looks like Wednesday is going to be WWE costumes. That should be . . . interesting to say the least!

I thought that this challenge was fun. I didn't see the episode from several seasons ago that featured Sasha, but I seem to recall the feedback on the outfits was pretty hideous. The top 3 definitely did a great job and I thought Chris totally deserved his win. It's about time Ricky was eliminated - I don't think he was surprised.

great spoiler links guys...thanks! yay! for chris...i can't help loving him. the challenge tonight was fun. as soon as any of you have links to the pr fashion shows, please post! victoya had a lot of pieces, but they were kind of joan collins-ish. or do you remember that trend in the late 80's, early 90's where you would buy these pieces that were interchangeable? (it didn't last long, thank god! it was bizarre, it was, a tube top that pulled into a dress, or you could use it as a headband? victorya's show was a little like that for me.

I was glad for Chris it was about time he won = hated Rami's pink thing = every week I dislike Christian more and more - he is so smug - it's getting old =

Christian has a right to be smug considering he's the only person that is doing anything original most of the time. He's consistently the best. I'd have given him like 5 wins by now.

A very entertaining character to watch as well. I like his humor, overall.

Heyang, as much as I like Chris, I really think Christian should have won. I wish the judges (not sure they don't) would tell us why they picked Chris over Christian.

I actually thought Ricky would be a shoe in based on his experience with underwear. Those costume type materials are very hard to sew.

I thought they should have eliminated Sweet P as well. She really gets on my nerves with her I don't know how to do this.

the judges love little details...they go orgasmic if you line the hood of a hoodie...so...chris got it. the judges love finishing. i thought christians was great looking too, and i thought he would win...but i was happy chris did. i thought christian had great finishing too, and potentially more difficult fabric to work with, if i'm being fair. heatherette's pieces sometimes look a little like christian's leather/lace stuff, so maybe that gave chris the nod.

I know Christian can go over the top with his slightly arrogant attitude, but it's just his personality. I for one would love to go have a few cocktails with him and hit the dancefloor! LOL He is so extremely talented for 21. I'm so happy Chris won a challenge! What a great person he is.. Who said a big ole drag queen can't make it to the top?! LOL You show'em Chris!!! I personally thought Jullian's royal blue number was hot and almost regally heroic!! Great fit! Ricky's as a swimsiut was beautiful, but like they said it has been done so many times and didn't fit the challenge.. I,m glad he's gone... I'm surprised he didn't start crying a river when he learned he was out... Sweat Pea's outfit was cheap looking... I love Sweet Pea, but I have a feeling she is next to go....

I adore Christian and really hope he wins. He is extremely talented ... and funny! I don't take anything he says seriously because it's so over the top. I know someone who, no joke, looks and talks exactly like him, and he's a hoot! He actually reminds me of Johnny Weir, in a way!

PR celebrity sighting: I saw Rami two weekends ago at Macy's in Century City, CA, buying something in the women's shoe department. I said, "Hey, are you that guy from Project Runway?" and he laughed and said yes. I asked if it was over yet, and he wasn't allowed to tell me anything.

Later I spotted him in Sephora. But I was there first, so, no, I wasn't stalking him! :)

I thought Wednesday's challenge was way better than I was expecting. I thought it would be a disaster like the Sasha Cohen challenge, but I thought everyone did a reasonably good job (as opposed to the SC challenge, where nothing looked like anything I see on the ice -- then again, I spend much more time watching figure skating than the WWE!!! :agree: ). I agreed that Chris deserved the win, but I thought Jillian (and Christian, for that matter) did a great job. Rami's wasn't great. Sweet P and Ricky were clearly the bottom of the pack, and it was long past due for Ricky to (not) cry his way home.

Dasies -- I think I read that story on another board (where I totally lurk without posting -- not that I post often here)!! ;) Very awesome that you saw Rami, though. I never meet anyone even remotely famous!!

In Spoiler news, today was the actual PR show in Bryant Park. So far, pictures have been slow in coming, and so far this has been the go to link for info on the show across the web (warning, contains non-GS-friendly language): Jezebel.com

ToePick, I just read the Jezebel article. The are five PR people showing?? Is that the way it is normally??
